A car hit me when lane splitting? who's fault?

 

I was lane splitting along Thomson Rd(near Thomson Medical Centre) towards Braddell Rd when lime green Toyota Prius(SDT707XX) turn left and hit the rear pillion footrest area. I didn't fall.

 

Now exhaust support cum pillion footrest all bended. (my visual assessment) His damage = scratched on bumper

50/50 fault?

 

Both of us didnt stop due to traffic conditions.

thot it was just a sticker but its engrave-

It's the Prius' fault but since the both of u din stop, there is no case if the Pruis can denies that he hit you.

eh but by right we arent suppose to lane split also... but they fail the duty to check before changing lane... i guess not totally his fault?

Lane splitting is subjective (Squarebox can say he is not lane splitting ma) but the Prius din keep a proper lookout for vehicle before changing lane is his fault 80%. :angel:

wah 25... my pay only comes on the 1 week on jan....

I need to change footrest but not sure can mount or not...

 

but change exhnge must do other things alot... e.g jetting, airbox...

I old liao lah... i really got a lao hua yan glasses which my wife always suan me when i wear it. :lol:

 

Side swipe is always 50/50. Tats y hor... as much as possible, i always practise defensive riding or even driving coz accident claim is a B*TCH.

I wonder 380 include inspection?

 

inspection must pay any $$?

 

I going to try to self install.
