Most of you stop at N gear or gear 1 at traffic light?

Which is better?

bumps for help

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

Hey Bro, I ride a 7 years old Wave R. I did not stop to cool down the bike. I only rest at petrol kiosk once every 240km roughly. This is after the petrol in my bike tank and my petrol can is used up. When I rest at the petrol after roughly 240km, my friends and I do rest for about 30min. Drink up, use restroom, smoke etc...

You won't regret going up and down the cameron mountain roads. The wave can take sweeping bends at 90+kph. Very very shiok. I am only 4 months riding. And after the trip up and down is 1000km. I do feel much more confident with the Wave. Very good bike, I was also riding with a loose piston ring. Thats what the Mechanic at JB ahboy said. must find some way to make my headlights brighter. Riding up the mountain at night quite hard when I couldn't see much in front of me.

It would be interesting to do a tour with just waves or 200cc and below. Everyone will have to buy personal petrol can. Malacca is just for short trip, go makan and enjoy. Cameron will be for a longer riding experience and to make your ass into an iron butt. Really the mountainous roads are really great experience, especially riding at night up the mountain!

i'm still finding for kakis with wave to ride up. i've been riding up solo all this while. if anyone's keen? the best would be all waves. coz spark can mantain a good 120 throughout whereas abit tough for wave.

anyone who needs the honda wave parts manual and service manual do drop me your email, but i must say that the service manual are written in thai, so not much of a help.

Do you want English version? I have one up to i model.

Touring long distance in Southeast Asia for Japanese Cubs is not a worry. Every bike shop know how to repair and parts always in stock, not like big bikes and non-Japanese bike, they must know where they can repair. If in groups, one cubs can push the other breakdown cubs to the workshop. Seen the Malaysian bikes along Singapore highway pushing the other one, breakdown or out of fuel, to Woodland checkpoint.

Just prepare: tools bag, spark plug, lights bulb, chain lube, torch light, tyre repair kit.

Bike: Service before long distance trip, ride 100 km first after service before going.

Worry: Fuel station, some area has only one station. Trying out unknown area better pump at every station pass by or get a spare fuel.

Selling my month used under utilised Red colour Pop Domino(best quality in the market I was told) Racing Footrest with passenger footrest and rear brake steel cable line instead of the usual unorthodox method of welding your stock shaft to it, going for $100 as a set paid more than 200 because of the additional steel cable. Condition 8.5 or 9/10, bike hardly ridden also.. sms me at 8ll2399O. Reverted back to stock . Item off bike!

I would said Malaysia due to labor cost. But remember to insist on using Honda Thailand parts for replacement. Overhaul had never done before, latest done is clutch RM105, air filter RM28 and a NGK-G Racing spark plug made in Nagoya Japan RM15.
