i'm using at least 98 and above.

50km/l at least - no matter of riding style.

u're rich...... now petrol so damn ex... i use 92 esso for my wave... strictly... save $.... hahaha...

even my cbr i use 95 only... actualyl 92ron also can.... however butt feeling feels ron95 more power.....

Life is not the amount of breath u take, but the moments that take ur breath away.

to be frank..

92 is the best for us Kubs. especially waves.

waveray is right, when u use 98 and above, you'll feel that ur bike is doing the extra work to burn the petrol..

IMHO, i think esso, shell, caltex 92 is the best..for kubs at least.

Octane = compression tolerance level of the petrol before self-combustion.

low octane = Less controlled combustion of petrol that may result in knocking

high octane = More controlled combustion of petrol that may result in a waste of $$ due to wave's low compression.

petrol CAN combust without fire/spark. It called compression

The high end petrol tend to have so called "cleaning agent". E.g reduce carbon build-up, clean the engine.

It's up to ppl to believe the "cleaning agent hype"

I use the high end petrols :X (I might be stupid)

thats why i told u, in english i cant explain.

becos for small c.c bikes, no need to use 95 or 98.

just 92 is just nice.

petrol too good our carburettor will have left unburn petrol.

92 can burn much more completely.

i had try b4, i use 98 for few months and my fuel meter drop faster

and not so smooth for my bike so i keep using 92 esso

2 weeks 1 time shell 92 - good.

i still miss shell fusion 92. haha l:P

petrol shouldn't be left in the carburetor in the first place.

if petrol combust in the carburetor, we wouldn't be here talking...

the carburetor is more like a mixing camber for air and fuel before going through the intake valve then to the engine.

info for others:

Using higher octance for our bikes will not increase performance, just result in a cleaner burn.

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.

No need to check. Shell announced in June or July that they are removing 92 from their pumps bcoz it only form 6% of their total petrol sale, so that's why no more 92 from Shell. I never pump Shell since 10 years ago.

I've got nothing against Shell. Just a few things that I realised along the way that makes me pump Esso after that.
