To all wave rider does your bike jerk forward when u change to lower gear coz my wave seem to jerk forward everytime i kick to lower gear is it normal? or is there any technic to prevent the jerking pls help me

ya mine jerks as well. down gear at lower speed can minimize that jerking effect. maybe you can try releasing throttle for awhile/brake before gearing down? the jerking is the greatest when gearing down from 2 to 1 right? i think its normal

RELEASE THE GEAR SHIFTER SLOWLY INSTEAD OF INSTANTLY TO MINIMIZE THE JERKING-

 

FOR STOPPING-JUST STOP AT ANY GEAR 2,3,4...AFTER WHICH THEN YOU CAN GEAR DOWN BACK TO 1-

Wif xperiences riding pizza hut wave, i dare to say the jerking is normal.. Bcoz wave got no clutch.. And yes the greatest engine braking is down gear frm 2 to 1.. Usually wat i would do is release the shifter slowly.. And as for down gear from 2 to 1, i would juz kick down the back gear shifter and hold.. The bike will run free wheeling as if u pull in the clutch.. Hope tis helps..

why bohter so much between s or r? not like the engine or chasis got difference....

 

just take note of the registration date of the vehicle and the condition.... i think u shld be more worried about these stuff....

 

I personally feel the 1st batch of Wave S (with digital counter) is the best.

It's analogue odo on the latest batch of Wave (the one with the uptilting exhaust like the S4 with 3 bolts).

Wave X is the latest - analogue.

Pre 2002 Wave S - digital, after 2002 Wave S (like FW plates all analogue).
