same here... i tankslap once on a straight after hitting a bumpy rd.... but that was when i was riding 110km/h only... tried my bike till 250km/h b4... but dun u guys think once our bike hits 230km/h.. the pickup getting slower and slower.. cos according to specs.. max hp is at 12,500rpm... while redline is at 14,000 rpm...

its because of the RR model lor... think boon siew worry about the market, wait nobody want to buy.. otherwise why is there 1 more new F4i left over there... maybe they had a hard time selling it...

guys... does ur bike have a obvious 'tick tick' sound when u jus start ur bike while idling?? i have that problem since i bought my bike... dun think its anything wrong or wat.. but the sound annoys me... Clifford from K&T told me that its because of the shims... says need to open up my engine and do some valve clearance i think.. or change the shims... jus wan to double check with u guys if thats the prob... and anyone encounter this problem oso?

as for oil filter cos mine its k&n so i wash myself one lor and i do the bleeding of brakes myself 2 ...

actually he ask me to service liao...but i no time recently...btw anyone ride sports model got encounter the cracking of the fairring at the rider seat there? i dun dare to pillion heavy ppl coz scare later the fairring crack...

 

spark plug need to use iridium 1 ah...can use normal 1 anot ah? think i gg down k & t one of these days...ask clifford to take alook...anyone knows when is the best time to go down?

i think aub jus repaired her fairing near the seat there.. maybe u can ask her... normal spark plugs can be use.. i use them b4.. so not to worry... the best time to drop by K&T is during the morning lor... as u noe.. K&T is always busy one... if u drop by there 1 day.. do help me to send my regards to Clifford.. tell him i long time nv drop by cos busy with work..

Thanks for the feedback guys.Sad to hear no more new F4 touring as i intend to make it a long-termer.Looking for something sporty but as same time comfortable to ride and pillion.

I oso got the same problem leh. But upon the temp reach 60 plus the sound gone liao...

 

Unity ah xiong told me the same thing as urs...

 

Need to check on the valve clearance and change the shim...

what the others mentioned to you are correct.. but please understand that we are holding ion th a used bike , though not that old but, still it has seen better days...

 

the shim and valve clearance is the ones that is causingthe 'tick-tick' sound..and for that it will usually take abt 3-5 days depending on the bikeshop manpower and backlog jobs, i was quoted abt 300++ (depending on the severity and other items which may need attention) for this job at Unity.

 

when mine was done.. there is still that 'tick-tick' sound, though it is very much lessened. according to him.. they to give it slightly more clearances as it is a used bike (other parts have also worn out.. and if they follow as per the manual, thrn yo need to change a lot of parts liao.. ) they do not tell me all this but, this is what i deduce,

 

but once the bike is heated up.. the sound is barely there.. so i think it is worth it ..

either tensioner lifter or valve clearance. minor hiccups with f4i.

sound normally goes away when the bike is warm.

the grip i just changed only leh undertray if u change ur compartment is gonna be smaller and it is not a reverseable act... white lights is bright but cant shin far...

 

anyways intinally i oso wanted to change all tis but in the end i prefered more space and a longer distance light threfore i chose to stick to the original

as for EO and other normal servicing stuff... i told u go combine as i always service there they should knoe the bike inside out le

I saw one of the riders havng a damper on his F4i . But not sure who liao . I think his bike is white in color .

I ever asked Motor World about steering damper before, is cost about $500++. Come with bractet. Brand I not so sure liao.

 

May be you can try at Motor World, personnelly I found it is quite EX.
