yong, if you're looking for pure touring purposes or for comuting meaning no cornering, BT020 is a very lasting tyre, however, it's grip is not so gd so no corners for u.

yeah currently on bt010 i think. i have no intention going to track so no need bt014...so ex burn my pocket all the way to my a**:cheer:

ok folks.

me de newbie again.

Dragon corsa - where to buy & fit?

RaceTech - where to buy & Fit?

*how much expect? pay by cash or card?

cos..feel like trying other shop...instead of looi:sweat:

My uncle showroom juz 3 unit left from Loois, too bad they dun know each other, no bargain. Can check out those popular bike shop at Ubi area. Pricing quite reasonable. Price not right juz walk out. Southern Motor is having a promotion on Michelin tyres.

Juz a curious question abt the RR, when the digital fuel meter show full bar, does it means the tank is full ? On the F4i, the more bar means the lesser fuel u have in the tank. Sudden change in design inspiration in the Honda engineering dept ???

Another qns, there is a "ADJ" button right below the display, when the button is hold down for 2secs, the HISS signal from the red LED stop pulsing. When the process is repeated, the pulsing resumes. What is the diff with and w/o the pulsing signal ?

Sorry too many qns.

ellamcoy bro, i think it will be better if you ask questions about rr in the rr thread as most of us know nuts about the rr.. i think u can get much more answers there.

Bro,

Pls update me once you get the schedule. So I can plan PG session ma.

emmitsu;

Sat 1st April 2006 10/11am session.

Lately found out that Dragon series uses the same type of compound as BT014  Not that bad, it a Pirelli at least.

Happy Shopping

ellamcoy;

its a gd buy..:thumb:

As far as I know SC rubber compound is same as Racetec, for example SC2 is same as K2. Between SC and racetec, racetec will be cheaper.

k2 = racetec

juz changed to pirelli dragon evo for $350

hmm.. good buy.. run in first.. join ellamcoy..:thumb:

Btw , anyone here often play wif their suspensions ? I need someone to guide me on adjusting my suspensions .

Hey man, what u need to know..? maybe tell us what u feel??? any way its a very "deep" topic... long story..:hungry:

yeah currently on bt010 i think. i have no intention going to track so no need bt014...so ex burn my pocket all the way to my a**

xzied, dun read this thread too much... BT014 is no sport or track tyres..

its just a normal tyres.. front + back for F4i only $310.. brand new.:cheer:

thats abit far for me.:sweat: imagine go back take bike,ride down,change tire,ride back,go back work...wow...dun think i can have that much time if i intent to go for track on sat.....:sweat:

when the digital fuel meter show full bar, does it means the tank is full ?

RR follow the superfour1300 standard-dated 1998 model(sorry-no idea SF400 is how cos never ride b4).

Full Bar = full tank

flashing bar - using reserve liao

*if u pump petrol when bar "flash" - 14L (assume bike is str & not on side stand)

What is the diff HISS lite with and w/o the pulsing signal ?

no different. HISS is always ON. the flashing HISS Led is for show nia.personal perference on "ON/OFF" blinking.

Sorry too many qns.

small matter la...aint forum about sharing...just like how i learn new terms/staff on current tires selection in here? :sweat:

tok abt tyres....just found a nail yesterday on my rear tyre...si beh sianz!

any comments on bt 010 and bt 020? and the pricing?

One nail only, so bad meh, no need to change tyre la. Your tyre still new I suggest you go to patch the tyre, I mean patch from the inner tyre wall and not using the worm type.

Patch from the hole from the inner tyre wall is better and logest lasting, and normally it cost about $30 to $40 only.

I see, try to look around your area for the best deal! Try not to track without a proper rubber. Safety first. :thumb:

Good to hear that, so Honda did picked up the old blue print and improvise on the design for the fuel display! Thanxs for the clarification bro :cheeky:

To my knowing.. turning is by counter steering...

Damper is assistant in high speed... I can't feel much of the "damper" effect in cornering... only feel "it" when NSH..

Think "tank slapper" .

Hockie, emmitsu, Speedpas;

Yes.. U guys got it right.:thumb: Corner got nothing to do with Damper,

Its main function is to prevent "tank slap"..

Damper is assistant in high speed... I can't feel much of the "damper" effect in cornering... only feel "it" when NSH..

What i trying to say is when at NSH during high speed at the straight.. u can feel the bike like being tighten up.. very stable..:thumb:

last visit to PG, the steering damper do not have any effect during cornering...

stability during cornering very much depend on your bike suspension setting, throttle controlling, braking skill and timming.:thumb:

When at straight after corner, i crank the throttle fully, my front wheel will lift and loss traction, when it land, i will not have the feel of "Tank slapping".. bcos of steering damper is there to help out my controlling..:thumb:

Posted

Note;

Steering Damper is a device, like your suspension place horizontally...

Suspension got compression and rebound... upward & downward force..

steering damper only provide aid to your left right handling...

Don't think that it will add to your safety factor...

Damper rate can be set from soft to hard...

At high speed, the fluid inside, liquid or gas, will heat up from the left right vibration/motion.. causing it to tighen up...

So if u got one install on your bike, do not set the rate too hard... slow speed ok.. at high speed.. it might jammed up the device.. and u will FLY!
