pple, just came back from the trip to kulai wif HONG n pple from the_ride..very nice trip..got pple take care wa i t at critical junction so that new guys won't get lost...we should join them for often..too bad our dear kori working till 11...orelse more pple the merrier...

 

conclusion: outing wif THE_RIDE RECOMMENDED..rather than some local trip..dun know whwere to go..

yup, the F4i has 2 models.....the sports model with the split seats and the sport-touring model...which has a banana-like one piece seat....

 

difference...outlook? but only the seat and tail different i think....i also duno abt the tech stuff, i f4i newbie...

which is better? haha...same lah...depends on wat you want...if u want abit more fierce look and u got a harder ass, then the split seat...if u want good comfort for you and pillion...the one-piece seat better lah....

bro power the same..like mine my previous owner say its uk model(sports) not canada model, no powercut..i dun know how true izzit.. but i tested wif fellow ft canadian model...240-250 is a confirm will hit speed..regardless of either touring or sports.. the engine is the same i guess. touring/sports version can almost run on par...no significant difference in power((( in my opinion)).. dun say mod -up one la, that one depend whose pocket deeper...touring also can hit 250 plus.. sports version also can hit that speed..

 

mine sport but actually first intend is touring.. cause of the seat especially u intend to pillion ur gf..look more comfortable..

 

i got fren selling his f4i stock colour..if u wan to know more can call mi 91502864.. will assist u..

 

600cc is quite a gd chose..but if u r some power-hungry racer then think f4i not for u..( get a kawa/suzuki)..but must say HONDA very reliable n won't bring so much problem..very tame monster which provide smooth riding..

 

FYI: rd tax 100 per 6mths

insurance depends on age, mine $500 plus..same price as my rs250 last time

Always have to explain :

 

Difference between the 2 are

 

1) Sport model no main stand

2) Sport model compartment under the seat is bigger

3) Both uses the same engine , but the sport version is easier to tune for track

4) Touring model still in production

5) Power is basically the same

6) Touring model have pillion grab rail

7) The forks are different on both models , onli 2004 onward , the touring model use the same fork as the sport model

8) Sport model came wif black frame

i was an R1 fan. emphasis was. how not to drool at the bike, it was the bike that caused the revolution in the liter class by being the lightest, most agile and most powerful in its class, by far. and in its time, it made the gixxers, kawas and fireblades look fat in comparison, which would have made my choice by looks alone.

2-seat and no center stand is FS, combined seat with center-stand is F4i. evrything else identical, except maybe the FS has one extra tooth on rear sprocket.

 

btw, i'm assuming u noe the pic in ur avatar is the 'RR', not 'FS'.

 

it seems like F4i still sold overseas but ppl here say discontinued locally. as for the FS, forget it, it was directly replaced by the 'RR' so confirm no more first hand models, though shd be easy to find good 2nd hand specimens.

hmm.. as far as i've done my homework on the f4i, the feedback i got is that the f4i sports is one of the best if not the best sports bike in terms of handling and comfort. i've been riding my bike for about 1 1/2 yrs and i've absolutely nothing to complain about except for the stupid tail part beneath the rider's seat which always crack after i've repaired it.. planning to change race tail as the recurring cost of repairing that portion is better spent on a race tail rather then keep repairing it..

Best cost saving measure is not to repair it , or maybe paste sticker over it . No choice one , as it cant tahan the pressure of our thighs .
