Hi need advice. My right showa rear suspension is leaking. Thinking either to buy a new one or rebuild. If rebuild, i need estimate 1 month before i can send my shock to rebuild regarding on budget is tight right now. At the same time, i still use my bike to go to work with pilion. Is it adviseable if im still use my bike eventhough my shock is leaking? If i choose to rebuild, is it can guarantee to last long because im use my bike for daily commute with heavy pilion? If i choose to buy a new one, which shock can give me a good handling and heavy duty?

Thanks in advance

bitubo shocks wld be great...i personally used a new set on a pb1 for 5 years with side boxes and a top box..and extremely stable on corners....maybe im just lucky it didnt leak after all that 200k km mileage....

any shocks after repair no guarantee....of coz perhaps the shop u repair it from may give a period of warranty?

any new shocks also no guarantee....of coz there is a warranty of how many thousand of km the shop can give you.....

Thanks puffferfis for your input. I'm done servicing my rear shock at Teck Thye last year and now my shock leaking again.

I'm opt to buy a new one. Need advice from you guys which shock is really reliable and heavy duty. My option is either Bitubo, Ohlins Ho142 or OEM showa.

FYI, i used my bike for daily commute with a heavy pilion(108KG) and i'm from Malaysia, which to find the sparepart for cb400 in bike shop is close to none.
