  1. Wobbling is always normal when anyone first starts learning how to ride a motorcycle. I had my fair share of falls during my 2B learning days. The good news is that you will get through it and master it. Years later, you will look back with fondness and remembering the struggles you are going through now & happy at what you have accomplished. Good luck and press on!
  2. Thanks for the well wishes. You too! I didn't receive any voucher at all...
  3. Last time when I was parking open air, I covered my bike all the time. And yes, I even went to the extent of applying clear nail polish to all the nuts and bolts on my bike to slow down rust.
  4. Umm... That's not normal. You might want to check the coolant reservoir. But don't forget the temperature sensor. That can also cause a false reading too. And most importantly, get your bike flushed thoroughly.
  5. Planet Motor is such a gd shop. I hope it will be here forever...
  6. Sadly to say. I think it's me. I just can't break the psychological barrier. My very first accident was a tank-slapping incident on NSH near Pagoh at about 120 km/h. Ever since then, it has become very difficult for me to travel fast. I am sad because at my average speed of 130+ km/h, not many people would want me to tour with them. I think if I were to tour again, I have to do it solo.

  8. Kids these days... only care abt their mobile phones... If she's knocked down, I bet you this. She wouldn't even know that.
  9. Thanks for your encouragement.
  10. Thanks for your encouragement.
  11. Umm... This happened to me a few months back too.
  12. I know I've clocked some touring experience. I've tried to force myself to go faster on straights on NSH. However, no matter how hard I try, I still hover around 130+km/h on average. I thought I would get better over time. It seems that's a lie. I am really lost and really feeling lousy about myself. What should I do?
  13. The main reasons why a customer chooses to patronize from a certain shop are: 1. The shop has the product(s) that I want 2. The shop offers the best prices 3. The shop boss or staff give very good customer service. 4. The shop offers good technical diagnosis to solve your bike issue(s) I believe that Planet Motor falls into the 3rd & 4th reason why many customers like us keep going back to them. In addition, the prices that Planet Motor offer is not far-off from other shops.
  14. Yes, I agree with you. The primary goal for riders is to get away from ALL other vehicles. Let me emphasize, "ALL". To me, all other vehicles are hazards. As for the news, I saw that she will be undergoing for her 3rd operation. I wish her all the best and speedy recovery too like all of you here.
  15. I know... I was also surprised to see my cashcard being deducted 0.65 as I was exiting out of Bain Street Carpark just now.
  16. This is a really close shave. I hope the lady driver will get it big time. Her car number is SFX97Z. Beware of her! She can really get a lot of people killed. This is truly scary. @SparkerS1, we are glad that you and your wife are safe and sound. However, please update us on whether she gets punished or not. This is important because if she is punished as a result of your submission of the evidence to the TP, it proves that this is a valid piece of evidence. If she really gets her just deserts, Pplater and I will go buy cameras asap.
  17. Double post... Oops.
  18. He he he... Actually changed to FZ6 almost 3 years now. But I still kept the designing of the stickers the same.
  19. This is the reason why I admire Ah Chong's business acumen. He is so good that he can do business with anyone, regardless whether he is mental or not. This is something I want to learn from him: How to deal with all sorts of customers. Ah Chong is the ultimate businessman!
  20. Wah! That's a little too fast for that. Sure, engine braking makes the clutch wear out faster but not THAT fast.
  21. After reading all the comments, all I wish is for everyone to be safe on the road and continue to enjoy the ride and their beloved motorbikes!
  22. I know what you mean. I dread MSCP car parks with cemented flooring. I have never overcome my FEAR of such car parks. They make me break out in sweat. What I do is to put down both feet and do a very gentle acceleration. Of course, braking very gently too. Then I will hand-push the bike into the lot.
  23. I know how you feel. It's like how I felt when I first collected my Phantom TA200. At that time, there was only paper maps to depend on. I didn't get lost so I think you won't and you will be fine As for today's technology, you could use Google Map or Singapore Map App by StreetDirectory.com. These 2 apps are FOC.
  24. I just saw the entire video. This is just my humble opinion. Perhaps I'm 'kia-see' (faint-hearted). I've seen some bad-ass drivers who will actually bang a rider on purpose. Seen it with my own eyes. Car drivers have less fear as they have a lower risk of getting hurt in an accident. It's just not worth the while getting into an accident with a creep like this. In many occasions, it's not whether we are road hogging or not. The thing that really matters is the driver's emotion at that time on the road. He looks hot-headed judging from the way he tails you. When a driver is hot-headed, he can do anything and that's not going to be good for us riders. So the 'kia-see' rider like me would move to the left. I saw a few good opportunities to move to the left other than the option of lane-splitting. Here are some of the early opportunities that the 'kia-see' rider would seize: 1. At about 00:28, the taxi was moving to the left lane which gives you a lot of space to move to the left. 2. At about 01:09, after passing that MPV, another big pocket of space. 3. At 01:19, after that yellow taxi moved to the left, an even bigger pocket of space
  25. No need every year lah. Only just change once and the subsequent years should be fine. At least when I was having the Super 4, I passed the subsequent years.
