  1. If anyone is looking for a VFR800A6 model, I'm putting mine up for sale.
  2. unpaid summons are tagged only to bike registration number (and not to passport).
  3. go for ytz14s, much better (doesn't prolong your battery life though).
  4. well, going by the straw poll in vfrd (i.e. the community of vfr riders round the world), it is a very different picture. the number of concerns (complains?) about the coil and electrical gremlins actually spans a large number of threads. honda usa had acknowledged the pre-existing problem and did a safety recall 2 yr ago: you can read about the recall if you do a google on "recall number: 07V359000". unfortunately, no other dealers/distributors follow their lead. or maybe, the riders didn't complain hard enough.
  5. electrical issues are common among vfr and it's well known. but things like coil, rr, etc are easy to diy, so it isn't much of a worry. only problem is getting the parts in singapore. you can reference vfrd for some troubleshoots and home-fix that's arguably better then factory fitted solutions.
  6. for that price, i will forget about getting the pciii in singapore and ship in a set of pcv from the states instead. same price (or cheaper), but so much better. and it works on all 02++ model despite what the pc website says.
  7. you can diy, but you will need the connecting wires (either buy $80 from honda or diy for $8 from sim lim tower). it's a straight forward process (if you know what you are doing) since you've cut a 2nd key, i assume there's a 3rd one with the shop? bear in mind that the h.i.s.s. (you programme the h.i.s.s. and not the key) remembers up to 4 keys only and the keys must be present during the programming. if the bike remembers these 2 keys (without the 3rd one), the 3rd key at the shop would not be able to start your bike the next time (unless you go through another programming of the h.i.s.s. with all 3 keys).
  8. at this rate, we will be bringing along the whole workshop on a touring trip (and then you realise 2 box isn't enough, a support vehicle is needed... which brings us to the spare equipment for the support vehicle and so on and on). the only thing you really need (apart from your riding gear, keys to your bike and your passport) is a hand phone with the essential numbers. everything else is a bonus.
  9. once you get started on the michelin pr2... there's no turning back to other tyres
  10. the installer is less than 52mb. give me a call, i can pass it to you in a cd.
  11. 19.90 pounds is for the oem brake pads? that's a good deal! with shipping, as long as
  12. if you want the full thailand map (without the routing function) which has been merged with malaysia and singapore map (both with routing), drop me a pm on the other side.
  13. artificial leather at $65? how much would a real leather gloves, with kangaroo skin (only seen on high end gloves) for the palm cost? guess what
  14. get the oem brake pads... less than $200 for a complete set (2 front, 1 back) if you diy.
  15. i don't really think help is needed for replacement of battery. a simple diy.
  16. don't worry. no flash? i think your speedo spoilt, time to send it for repairs
  17. should i eat chicken rice or not? should i walk with right leg out first or left leg out first? should i wear red or white or green or black today? it's good to seek opinions, but not everything in life needs an opinion. just do what you wanna do.
  18. u see me prac 1 no up is it? btw, got class 2auto or not? like car got class 3 class 3a. i don't want to kick gear, just want twist and go, like driving auto car. so no need licence that ask me to kick gear.
  19. thanks for your advice! but i'm still stuck at prac 1 how to switch from 1st gear to 2nd gear smoothly???
  20. 1. vfr headlight is damn f#$%@&g bright. why would anyone need anything brighter??!? 2. front brakes, front brakes, front brakes. on the link brakes, i'm not sure there's a need to use it, other than just tapping it. i think what you need is a) change battery, and b) bleed brake fluid.
  21. err... 1. use a pair of sharp scissors or if you like, 2. fashion a primitive stone-age tool using sharpen rocks
  22. for that price, go get a mra vario screen or mra touring screen (and both should be less than us$120). probably the best screen you can get.
  23. you can refer to this sub-forum: http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=34 and also check your pm.
