actually the gears are very short. it affects the pick up because i have to change gear very often. a guesstimate is top @ 140kmh / 6 gears = 23. every gear change earns me only 23kmh increase in speed still running in... at the start, when i was restricted to 70kmh and being very gentle with the throttle, it gives abt 40km/l. now i drag the bike to 8k rpm at every traffic light and up to 105kmh, slighlty better than 30km/l. these are rough firgures as i didn't really pay too much attention to it. range on a full tank should be more than 150km.

hi wavy, i just got it not long ago. still running in (cannot verify top speed but should be around there). it has a 6 speed gear box much like a regular sports bike.

iirc, suzuki raider has about 4.9l. dun have the manual wif me. there was once i pumped 4.7l into it.

heard raider only got 1 batch come in. the raider i bought last month was made in 2005 paid $4800 for it. heard there is another one at teo spray. don't know if that is sold.

just paid deposit for a "new" raider. collecting on friday. if want to change carb, change to wat brand and model? any recommended workshop? just want to get rid of the diaphram problem. not looking for power increase or anything. hopefully fuel consumption wun increase.

i want to install a cigarette lighter power socket on my wave (for gadgets). those who has done it before can share your experience or recommend a workshop who will install it? i am hoping they can drill a hole into the plastic near the keyhole and install it there... TIA

jb got one shop along the ah gua lane called KS. they display a lot of nice rims on the second floor display window. dunnoe about their price or workmanship though.

if riding kups which is very popular there, try to get a chain to lock your rear wheel to your bike. a malaysian parking warden gave me that advise and i saw many malaysians doing the same thing in Kluang.

got any with the tire screeching sound? nice to "draw the attention" of slow moving pedestrains...
