Piston (HELP!)

Hello SBF members. im posting regarding my bike. im currently riding a X1 ; fourstroke 2b bike. What are the side effects of knowing that my piston is going to jam? Ive never serviced my bike since 6mths. But i do regular change of engine oil. And one more thing. my exhaust has white smoke coming out from the pipe. Give me some answers. Thanks.

why don't you try the cubs/scooters forum.

 

in the world of phantoms, (my world) white smoke = make sure EO level is good, rush to motordiam ASAP, pay few hundred, change piston + rings etc etc.

ps: you asking when piston will jam, i'm not sure if u realise the possible seriousness if it jams.....

if a 4-stroke bike emits white smoke, its either weather too cold and theres condensation in the exhaust, thus when u rev, the water evaporates out to the end can.

 

or, your piston is loose. i.e theres a slight mis-alignment. you just need to go and change the piston and the ring will do.

 

you bike is just 6months old? then i guess you must be revving hard and traveling above 100km/hr everytime.

 

 

just bring it to your bikeshop and let the mech have a look. he'll tell you whats wrong. if u need 1, i would reccomend planet motors(ah chong)

4 stroke the maintenance is very low, but if anyhow wack, prepare to service bike liao.

 

then if u not sure, ask the mechanic to test ride ur bike to rectify ur bike problem

changing of EO and spark plug regularly is good. piston jam or what is other cause. whack too hard? they are many reason why piston jam. suspecting something not correct? better bring it to a trusted mech. 4-stroker are not suppose to emit white smoke unless very cold.

Its very2 hard for a piston jam to happen unless lack of lubrication. White smoke is ok,when the weather's cold. But blue smoke,your oil control rings are gone.

Basically here how it looks like.. They conducted an experiment to see if they could conjure up some magic smoke. This image clearly shows a certain electronic component (i think a 550-series counter) before, during, and after magic smoke release..

Its the mechanic way of reading things. Some are so pro that just my taking the sparkplug they know the engine condition.
