Uber noisy. U sure LTA approved those 4 stroke bike pipes which make alot of noise? Or r dey juz using illegal pipes as well?

2 strokers (except vespa) are noisy no matter how u look at it. Period.

Its not a matter of wasting money or upgrading to class 2a.its a matter of principles behind this kind of rules.a minority of us might want to keep our 2 stoker 4 a number of reasons if not many.some might even have in stock pipes that we put at home "to collect dust".y not put d pipe to good use.these pipes do not contribute to the noise pollution which is already adamant on our roads.it only gives the bike that extra "power" n better fuel consumption n it certainly makes the bike looks better than the stock ones that it have in its place

It's because of the construction of the pipe, due to the nature of 2-stokes, most of the aftermarket pipes are full race can which simply produces too much noise...it's also impossible to have 'inserts' inside the stomach of the exhaust whereas for 4 strokes exhuast, manufacturers can put removable baffles inside the pipe to pass the sound test.

Simple reason $$$$.. except for Aprilia RS125 and mito tat are commonly used in Europe , the rest of 2B 2 stroker are produced mainly by Thailand and used only for South East Asia market eg Thailand/malaysia where legality isnt much of a issue ..

LTA only recongize a few international Labs for exhaust approval eg the German TUV , Japan JASO and USA EPA approved labs.. Therefore there isnt any incentive for the Italians makers GPR ,Arrow, Gienelli , pollini, to produce legal pipes since there wouldnt be much demand except for sg market which very very small demand as how many KRR , TZM, SP , RXZ in sg are going to buy these "Legalised" exhuast" if they were to be produced .. Furthermore , SP/TZM/KRR are never going to be able to meet even the previous minimum Euro 1 to qualify to enter into European market, Current standard is Euro2 ..

Its almost impossible for any legal pipes for SP/KRR/TZM as there will be no exhaust makers who would spend soo much time and effort and $$$ on R&D for peanuts and bikes tat arent even going into Europe or Japan and furthermore TZM/SP/ RXZ are out of production .. 2 Stroke are not able to be even allowed on road in US even they meet Euro 2/3 standards, so no one will design a exhuast system and send it for Legalisation for made-in thailand 2 stroke bikes..

Legal 2 Stroke pipes are ARROW and Gienelli for Aprilia RS125 and Cagiva Mito/planet where there is a large demand in UK and the whole europe where Emssion standard are strictly enforced so the European riders are "encouraged" by the hefty fines to used legal exhuast system

End of the day , Its only a simple economic of $$$$ ..
