You CANNOT use WD40 for lubing your chain. Unless you want to lube it once every other day.

Buy a better chain wax. I'll recommend Maxima. What will happen if you don't lube it? Your chain will wear out fast lor.

For chain, this is what i do.

1) Clean the chain with a soft brush, those used for painting, and kerosene.

2) Used a cloth to wipe thoroughly, by then you will have a clean and shiny chain.

3) Ride around to warm up your chain.

4) Lube the chain with lubricants of your choice, e.g. Wax, lube.

The chain need to be lubricated periodically to maintain it. A neglected chain will wear off both your chain and sprockets faster, causing you to spend money to replace them earlier. Not only that, a neglected chain will be very dry and will rust, this is very dangerous as this may cause the chain to snap when riding. Just spend 5mins to lube your chain, a little maintainence goes a long way.

BTW i have not come across any petrol koisk that sells chain lube. Just go to any motortiam accessories shops, e.g. Motoworld, LAB/Regina to get your chain lube. I highly recommend Maxima Chain Wax. :thumb:

Between $10-20 depending of what brand you choose. I lube my chain every 400-500km.

Its okie to lube every week, just dont spray too much, the chain can only take so much lube, spray too much the rest will go to waste too.
