Question abt DIPS

I have this question. Wondering can someone help/ans my question. I tried calling the Traffic Police but hanging on for abt 5mins and the line get enaged. (Good? services from our Traffic Police?)

 

 

The question goes like this.

 

Mr A got his Class 3 driving lic on 29th May 2006

 

Mr A got 6 demerit pts on 27/3/2007 (Bear in mind still P plater)

 

Mr A got another 12 demerit pts on 11/2/2008.

 

 

Will Mr A be revoke? Or Mr A still have 6pts left? (12-6+12-12=6)

 

 

 

 

 

Full story goes like this.

 

Mr A was driving toward Ubi. Upon reach the traffic lite (He stopped) due to red light but out of nothing, be it the drive was possesed or wat, the driver move off!!! TP WRX was just behind him. He was booked. Driver plead to the TP but the TP replied was "U Dashed a RED LIGHT in front of me, how am i going to over look this case? I have not seen anything like this b4. U had already stooped, why leave? U can write in to appeal after u recieve this letter."

 

How is the driver going to be charge? The driver is now confused as he nid the lic and car for work. He was given 2 days MC by Raffles Medical Centre but he nid to complete his work b4 he go home and rest.

 

How is the driver going to appeal for this case? Go to MP or go to Lawyer? The driver onli have 1 chnace to appeal. Pls advise.

But in general, very hard for the officers to sympatise with the driver because the driver 1) shouldnt be driving because his judgment is impaired from medicine or just being plain sick. 1a) If he admits to taking meds....then there is more trouble, cos meds usually carries that sentence to tell people not to operate machinery or drive after consuming them meds.

 

2) He is thankfully alive.

 

3) other road users are thankfully alive.

I know that u are in the force rite? Does wat u sae is the true? I still have 6pts left after the 12pts deducted todae? I went to TP at UBI twice todae but no one seem to be able to answer my question. I am seriously in doubt and cant concentrate on anything. My Lic and car is my everything. No Car no Lic = No JOB.

29/5/2007 probation over add 12 points, so left 18 points

Drive with care, licence is a priviledge, not a entitlement.

Thanks for all the concern. But then the problem is that the Eddies site onli reflect how mahy pts we have accumulated but not on how many pts we CAN accumulated.

Only on 11/2/2009 then u will get back all the 18pts u accumulated

I dunno why also but the system works like that...

 

Even if u left 1 day to getting back the 6 pts u lose previously and u commit another offence, the 6 pts will be drag together with the newest offence for another 1 year. Something like that.

im not sure about the last one. i think that on 12/2/09, he will get back 24 points. however between 11/2/08-11/2/09 still left with 6points.
