Warranty void if your label on your IU is moved

Hi all,

 

wanted to share for all bros here to never move the labels/stickers on your IU if it is still under warranty.

This little white label contains the 10 digit identification number to our IU. My 2 year old IU died on me and when I tried to get a replacement at viacom, was informed that because i move the label to any position, warranty is void and I am to bear the cost of $155.80 to replace the offending part.

 

Viacom officer inform that it is LTA ruling and I have also appealed to them. unfortunately appeal is rejected. I am asking them now if IU wraps will void warranty a not....will update once they reply....probably next month......

 

Since we are all stuck here in Singapore, just follow law otherwise you will loose money.

I have IU wrap on. Pls update us. I wouldn't want warranty to void.

 

The wrap, as the name imply, wrap up the IU to make only the display visible and helps to hide the cash card, in case you forget to remove it. It is for aesthetic purpose, of cos, to make the IU less ugly and stick out like a sore thumb.

just wrap it over the sticker, if need to do any warranty claim, remove the wrap?

Iu wrap is fine . The wraps usually doesn't wrap over the sticker . but you gotta use the correct bracket mount for your warranty to be valid .
