Hmm, DC is an special tyre that works for track and street. Sportec M1 is a little more street than track. BT012ss is like DC. New tyres to join this vreed of tyres for 06 will be Sportec M3 and BT015. (Info from Neo :thumb: )

So far I read the infos, BT015 & Sportec M3 both seems to be street and track days tyres.

Dunlop Qualifier still no balck and white to say trackday tyres still....

Pilot Powers, with the price in sg for this street tyre (also dunno advisable for trackdays or not, but Pilot Sports and Pilot Sports Cup are), one could get themselves a pair of race tyres which solves everything.

Hope BT015 comes in soon.....the BT002 race tyres never make it here in Sg :sian: :sian: :sian: and even the BT002 Pro also came out already.

What is our Bridgeston dealer in Sg doing????? :sian:

Sorry, my bad.....Pilot Power is actually better for track compared to the Pilot Sports. Sports given 3 stars while Power given 4 stars.

Pilot Sports Cup never made it to singapore if I'm not wrong....

Apologies  Have to correct this before I get sued :D

Pilot Power

Have to ask around...as limited stocks due to the newer BT014. BT014 swept our market like a storm, initially replacing the CBR1000RR's oem DC which have some uneven wear problems, which also mislead some to think BT014 is comparable to DC. IN fact, within my circle of frens who put on DC at bikeshops like Unity or Motorsales do not have such problems as uneven wear. Could be a batch problem for the oem DC tyre, but then again, a fren of mine with the later batch of CBR1000RR do not face this problem.

Anyways, for frens who used BT012ss and BT014 before prefered BT12ss but of course, BT014 last better for wear.

Why not you try the DC, Sportec M1, Pilot Power, Dunlop Qualifier or Conti Sports Attack if you could not get BT012ss in the meantime??? These are popular tyres which I seen stock up at many bikeshops.

DC you could get at HKL or Unity.

My 2 cents.....

At one point one of the kids went so low, he was actually scraping his rear sprocket several times. Lowsided soon afterwords though.

This is probably off topic. Anyway, I think they aren't even 6 yet. This kid was particularly good, overtaking and lapping everyone.

Do a google search for Sepang International Circuit :thumb:

...Racetec SLICKs ...

Just wondering what's gonna happen if it rains or the road is damn to/fro PG or Sepang... Just like race pads, best used ONLY for track. Sadly, don't see how that can happen unless you've a van for transport for every track day.

They will get a tyre company to cut the tyre pattern for those who purchase. All tyres are affected by thermal cycling. You will know the tyres are past it's optimum performance not only by it's wear pattern but more by the loss of grip over time... Just like any tyre you use now. Slicks have tyre wear indicators as well and they appear as "small dots"... Have a look at JR and you'll see what I mean.

Riding to Johor Circuit should be ok.. Sepang abit of a question mark.. All JR have mentioned is they lasted just as long( e.g. 100 plus laps round Johor Circuit at 1min 46sec pace) as the road approved Racetecs, only with superior grip levels and consistency, not to mention lower price for the customer...
