Hi..

I have just gotten my 2B licence and have been riding for abt a month now.

Wondering how does servicing work..

Do u all make appointments before going down?

Honestly I feel workshops treat u according to the bike u own. Mine is CB 125e

I went down to pla*et m*t*r.. To do cab tuning, uncle didn't seem interested in entertaining me.. Rather he was busy talking to a guy (with a 400cc bike) who came after me..( I heard the convo, he just came.. )

After waiting, like half an hour.. I got the attention.. But uncle was like " ah.. Tunning, we very busy" and he walked away to make some phone call..

I followed him, waited and waited.. Hoping he was going to give me a alternative.. But he was standing there ignoring me like I m not there...

Then I asked him, what other time can I come down.. He asked me to come back next week..

Is this how its like?

Or did I go at a wrong timing?

Dun waste time on this type of shop. Money will not come out from my pocket if i not happy. Thats my number one rules. Example i went to buy a 3D tv last year. Bring my own blueray ( Ocean life ). I told the salesman if the fish dun come out. My money not coming out too. haha

Nope. Not wrong timing. Just wrong shop. Go somewhere else.

wrong timing.

I was like you, wait and wait when i was there on my first visit. But after you are close/comfortable with them, just go in and tell anyone of them what issue you have, they will do it unless they are busy

Bro, we are customer. They should make us comfortable not the other way round. I got good service from my bike workshop. Make appt and never let me wait. Once Reach there and been served immediately. After job done, he will clean n polish my bike if there is oil stain from his hands on my bike. This is what i want on my ride.

IMHO,

"normal servicing" of bikes is simply EO, EO filter & spark plug change..

I use, previous empty EO bottles, funnel, newspapers to catch wayward oil,

new EO, EO filter (w/opener) & spark plug (w/opener)

i urge the rest to try it themselves, not difficult at all, just need spare EO

bottles to "store" the old oil and dispose of at the nearest car/bike shop.

Most car/bike shops won't even bat an eyelid when you dump the used EO

into their 200ltr oil drum.

looking for drz parts, any parts will do!
