Buying 2nd hand bike from shop

What are the things to look out for when buying used bike from shop?

any advice cos so far I have only bought from private seller

 

is it a norm for shop warranty?

 

what about tyre change and servicing, will the shop throw in?

 

how does trade-in old bike work?

 

and also for loan wise, will it be same price whether I take loan or full cash? (I am referring to the principal amount)

Yes. Weeks to months but I wouldnt count on it.

Now you have lemon law to protect your purchase.

Sometimes.. you can ask.. from my experience they didnt service the bike before handing to me.

 

how does trade-in old bike work?

They take in your bike at a pathetic price to offset the new purchase

 

and also for loan wise, will it be same price whether I take loan or full cash?

Bike shop likes you to take loan. They will add ur insurance amount in as well.

 

Dun forget admin fee and other hidden cost.

Common tactic is they remove your IU unit.

i have bought from about 5 or 6 bike shops. NONE have made me felt satisfied after buying from them. worse, JUST AFTER I signed the dotted line, they made me feel like sh%%, and I felt like they are laughing behind my back

Sounds like mostly bad experience so far

 

Too bad the seller I wanted to buy from was in a hurry to sell

 

I saw the bike in shop and want to buy it
