anyone play remote control plane?

i was watch the discovery channel when they was introducing the technology behind a plane. it catch my interests again (i had interests when i was in sec. but the youth flying club don't take me becos i no have

A level. they say they only take smart guys)

 

anyway, do anyone of u play control plane?

is it expensive?

it is too late for an old man like me to go learn fly a plane. but i think a remote control plane may just satify me too.

 

this topic is to find out more info from experience people. I have no idea about this hobby. thanks.

IMHO,a very expensive hobby if your fingers are stiff.It has got to be made like firm jelly to be able to control it properly and of course the dreaded crash!

 

Start with a simulator first.They are played using your PC and you can keep on crashing at no cost.Until you are ok,buy an entry level plane and bash it.Expect to fail and learn.That is why,I recommend entry level.Simulators can cost from a couple of tens of $ to a few hundred $.

 

Entry level planes can cost around a a few hundred $$.You will need some batteries,charger,a plane kit,motors,electronics like receiver and servos and also a transmitter.
