Hi hi...Jaz....Do tell me about it...I did pillion one of my friends from USA when he was here for a short visit and took him to JB and was thinking of bringing him to Kota Tinggi to see the nature and waterfalls...And guess what, halfway through, I saw that he was already like a lobster, red hot...hehehe. So, in kindness, i told him that it was also too hot for to ride further and we turned back to Singapore...

 

The moment we reached his hotel, he told me to give him an hour or so and to wait for him at the coffee-house...Guess what, he dip himself in the bathtub just trying to cool off the heat and the next day, he looked like to minstrel man but minus the black coating with white around the eyes and motuh area...Just imagine it to be reddish and pinkish...hehehehe...

 

I totally understand what you are trying to say coz i saw it with my eyes...So, i do hope our advises to KILLSWITCHED pays off....Thanks Jaz for your contribution...

Since this is a short trip therefore I thought of doing something which I have not done before. I thought of riding with my boxer and singlet. I thought it is cool and some kind of a 'Fear Factor' test for me. Please, please don't laugh at me on that day.

Hi hi...Everyone who are participating in our ride...Just an update...

 

Our Lead Biker, SgStarRider, took the initiative to drive into JB yesterday and drove along our ride route to Desaru and made detailed checks throughout the route...I'll be emailing out to those who gave me thier email addresses the new and updated ride route maps...

 

Do check your emails and if possible, print out the maps and share it with those that do not have email addresses...Also, do study the map and if you have any queries, do not hesitate to either contact SgStarRider or myself...

 

I'll email out the maps to everyone latest by tomorrow...Cheers..

I do hope that all of your queries except for the part of meeting up with riders in the east, are ANSWERED!!!!!!!!...Thanks bro...and see you this Saturday...

1)West -> less than 15 mins

2)South/Central -> 25-30 mins

3)East -> 40-45 mins

4)North -> 15-30 mins

topping-up-gas-even-u-noe-that-its-gone-reserve-the-previous-day/night at the nearest kiosk: 10 mins

 

Estimated time to warm up bike: 5 mins

 

Estimated time to go back up n get forgotten items

(bike key, bling2 shades, limited edition adicolor, PASSPORT! etc) : 10 mins

 

Estimated time digging for another set of clothes as u had sleep walked n acidentally wet on the one u originally intended to wear: 10 mins

 

Estimated time for morning shower/dress up (w/o "fooling around") : 10 mins

 

Estimated time going back to sleep after i've made the wake up calls: 15 mins

Hi hi...Everyone...I've just received a PM with regards to some of the new riders who may not know of Gelang Patah R&R, Esso Station...Here are some directions to the meeting venue: After you pass through Tuas Checkpoint, yuo'll be crossing over the bridge into Johor and you'll reach Johor's Checkpoint...After you've passed through Johor's Checkpoint, just keep riding straight and you'll see a signboard stating R&R (Rest & Relax), turn into that R&R and that's Gelang Patah R&R, Esso is at the end of the R&R before you turn out again into the highway...I do believe you won't miss that R&R....

 

Anyway, on behalf of CuteJunk, would anyone assist him, like arrange for a meet-up somewhere in Singapore and go together into JB...Cheers...

Just to add on, toll charges for Malaysia side would be RM1.60 for going thru and RM1.60 for coming back. As for Singapore side, it is S$0.70 for going thru and S$0.70 for coming back. Hope that clarify.

jus went over to gp in the morning. never rode there b4, so checked out the tolls on both side as well as familiarization.

 

SGP side -> $0.70 (cashcard)

MYS side -> RM1.60

 

pls check ur passports are at least 6 mths valid from the expiry date and available visa pages too.left exactly 3 working days to renew ppt.

 

ps:dun 4get to bring along ur 2pc swim suits & suntan lotion. dun 4get to go for

brazilian waxing if u need 1...

D-Day tomoro 26th April 2008.

 

We (the Officials of this Unofficial ride: Lead bikers, marshallers, sweepers, back markers, support vehicle) had our final meeting plus update of the route yesterday night.

 

One way for participants to recognise the Ride Officials is by the bright coloured safety vests that we shall be wearing on that day. Either bright Yellow or bright Orange vests.

 

A Final Pre-ride briefing shall be conducted to all riders including Ride Officials tomoro by Armofpeace in order to have better understanding & co-operation among all.

 

I really do hope that we shall all have an enjoyful n safe riding experience together. It shall be a ride thats gonna test an individual level of patience as we will be in a looong convoy.

 

Reminder: change ur Sing$ to Ringgits today bcos there will be NO moneychanger along the journey.

 

Last but not least, all riders pls have enough rest tonite n drink mre water oso to prevent dehydration .

May god almighty protect each n evry1 of us during the ride
