Recalling, I did run over a huge-ass stone & I fell short of being flung off about 1.5 years back. When I stopped at the side, not only was my rim dented.... It looked as if was peeled off!!! And I'm talking about the front rims for a Blackbird. Lucky for me, the tear did not reach the seal-line of the tyres.

I scouted around and the front rims averages at $800++!! I went to workshop at Sin Ming and the best they could do was knock it back into position. Idiots!! The gyroscopic force will just force the tear back out.

Finally, by a stroke of luck, I stumbled across a bike shop in JB which was doing welding works on an RXZ pipe. I asked him whether he could fix the damage for me, he say can. He then proceeded to knock, grind, weld, grind, sand and spray the rims back for me (in that order).End product, it looks as if it was never damaged at all...!! Only disadvantage was that he couldn't do the balancing. Nevermind since my front tyres was due for change, I rode back to Singapore to change tyres + balancing...

Here's the clanger.... The cost of the repairs was RM60 !!!!!! (Excluding tyre change/balancing laaaa..)

As I recall, the shop is just after the petrol kiosk along the row of motorbike shops along the highway to Larkin. That's before Courts JB and opposite the Fire Station..
