Purpose of the chain cam tensioner is to pick up the slack of the timing chain. For Honda ones they use a preloaded spring to pick up the slack when you accelerate or decelerate the engine revs...

 

Spec3 our cam tensioner can last for more than 12years brudder.

 

Bro how i wish the blackbirds ones can last more than 12yrs....

No belly dancing lah...If have then i frequent there sia...btw to know if your tensioner needs to be changed,rev your bike at 5-7krpm constant for 2-3 secs then let off the throttle,you will hear a chain rattling sound just before the rpm hits idling speed..

 

However sometimes by changing the tensioner will not solve the problem. If the chain slack is too much(chain elongated),it means you need to change the timing chain and the plastic guides...On normal wear and tear,timing chain will last 150 000kms before it needs replacement.

anyone interested to get the leo vince exhaust ?? sample coming in somewhere march or april for s4 only... currently only hav end can so dun bother enquiring abt full system... price for carbon fibre & titanium is around $600-$650, aluminum sleeve is around $450-$500. y is there a price range is due to the first order needed. so i just need to c who's interested then can discuss further for the price. the prices r excluded of inspection, $52.50. hopefully can get the stock in by june 06.

 

below is a sample of the sleeve & its currently available in bolt on for s4. there is a baffle attached so basically a race can replica.
