no... tat y I got d black n silver colour. But they got Carbon fibre (real) n silver, cost pice will be higher than mine abt 50 backs.

I installed back the 4 Way equalization on my carb, by linking carb 1-4 and carb 2-3, because if I link all carb together there is slight jerk of the bike at low rpm.

 

I have confirmed the filter connected at the place where engine oil is poured in cause the drop in top speed and the difficulty in starting the bike when cold. However the bike runs smoother with this mod.

actually i've been lurking around for a couple of weeks in this thread, reading the posts and seeing what's going on. see a lot of mod / technical oriented posts in here, and that's good, because i'm just starting to get interested in tech issues too.

yeah, will have to get acquainted with the bike first, before i know which are the things i'll want to fix up.

 

actually, a few questions already (sorry if they've been covered earlier in the thread, i've tried to scan around, but reading all 150 pages is kindof tough):

 

1. how is carb tuning done? and is it easy to access/adjust the settings? i guess for DIY it's more of playing around with the settings based on how the bike behaves at different throttles (i.e. trial and error).. but if you send it to a workshop, how do they tune it? do they tune it to fixed settings or do they tune then ride around to check as well (or is it something else entirely)? if it's possible i'd like to tune the bike to "just above lean", more concerned with fuel efficiency than performance. anyone have advice/suggestions/comments?

 

2. am tentatively thinking of re-doing the paint job for the bike, but not too sure yet. i see lots of people in this thread have done "custom" paint jobs. might seek advice about this later on.. if i can think up any nice designs..

 

3. would anyone know (roughly) how much and where to get a belly pan?

1. If your air/fuel mixture is still factory preset, leave it alone you dont have to tune it because it require special tool for tuning, which most of us dont have. I would advice to open up the carb clean it, check for worn parts and balance the carb. If the seal is already removed, then you can sent to shop with a gas anaylser to check if tuning is optimise. If the carb screw on your float bowl and top cover is still the original "+" screws, change it to allen cap screws, make your life easier for future DIY carb cleaning.

 

3. Belly Pan can get frm Lim Ah Boy(LAB), Regina or Auntie shop beside LAB. Price wise is approx $25-$30. I bought mine from a Super4 rider, and installed in JB for RM10. But after that I did some work myself to make the bracket fit nicely, e.g grinding the bracket edges round to fit the engine cover properly, rebend some bracket and relocate it to make it less prominent on the bike.

Wa swee leh ur disc... How much u got it ahhh? Actually white rim for red bike also not bad but hard to maintain... Black easier to maintain.... Gold rims actually also can but must see which kind of tone i guess...... if not really look like ang pow like SW750 said....

Still looking for d colour hw but I'm confirm tat i'm going to sent to shop to do it after my haya has come out from new paint job.

 

D front disc cost abt $430. Y, U wanna get it? Must wait for abt 2mths hor...

Wa piang $430... Buy 1 front 1 back can buy 1 2nd bandit liao.... Too ex for me liao... I think i better stick to my original round disc... But ur disc really chio... BTW what is ur new paint work design? Got pics?

As for my n=bandit, I respray back to orginal red colour... Haya, Orginal paintwork wif few design tat i mix around, basically is black n grey... Hee hee.

 

Once it out, I take both bike photo n post up.

I think should be able to, because the bandit 400 and VV frames looks the same to me, also I like the VV air box cover looks more sleeker than the normal bandit.

I think cannot.

Though the chasis looks same but airbox covers n the seat is different design.
