Back in business begining of July 2007. You can still reach Guan Hoe at their usual number for workshop cos Margaret is manning the line at Guan Hoe Sales office. You may want to drop them a call to confirm the opening date and probably they can get the spares ready for you.

Btw, what sort of maintenance does your bike need?

Well I need to do a carb cleaning and balancing, change of EO, check on my battery as my engine keeps on dying off when starting but my sparkies are fine (I checked) and perhaps flush my coolant. I guess that's it.

Check this thread out. I am creating a club of bikers for bikers. This is for intercultural intergration. Come on in, fellow bikers.

It's going to be another week of waiting if you can hold onto it. If not, you may wana try HKL at Alexandra V. Look for Ah Keong. My friend did his carb cleaning and tuning by him. Got good comment about his workmanship. Price also quite reasonable.

As for your engine dying, check your idle rpm. Idle rpm if too low will give this symptom. If you crank your bike and it doesn't sound abnormal, probably it's not the battery. Hope this help.

Miss my good old Bandit man.

no need a new carb, just change the internal components like the overflow jet, main jet, springs, slides, and the floats, that is what I did, alot cheaper then buying a new set, or you can always try a scrapeyard, plenty there.

Cheers!

Guan Hoe No: 67465910 (Workshop) / 62997939 (Sales Office)

For those who wants to buy parts, you can try getting it from Ever Sucess, which is somewhere near Mustafa. Staff there are nice people. Tel: 6292 5909.

Another place worth checking out for Suzuki parts is KS Motor. It's located somewhere near Regina. Can do a quick search at Street Directory.

Happy riding. :thumb:

Changing all the carb parts could cost more then $300, a single over flow jet is already about $30-$40 a piece. Not cheap, but a new carb set is a bomb.

Hey DatsunKing, does your GPR pipe have a Baffle? or is it straight through?

There is a small filter inside it, u can remove or put it on with ease... However after using it for quite sometime, now super noisy... Like those illegal pipes... :thumb: :thumb:

skybono, i didnt sell my bandit, instead i got another bike(s4)....... u got the pic of the tank bra??? is the tanks bra sold by mw, like those worn on S4s?

Oh I see. I thought you sold your bandit already. I've checked the

website of Bagster and they do sell a tank bra for bandit 400 but

they don't have a pic of it. For sure it will be the same as those

other Bagster style tank bras.

Hi Skybono,

Usually accessories like cig lighters are usually designed for in-vehicle use.

The contacts (+ and -) of a cig lighter is usually spring-activated, ie the heating element end is pushed in, contacting the + and - which runs the electric current through the heating element.

As the bike is exposed to weather, there is a possibility of rust accumulating at the contact ends, which is usually exposed. When the rust accumulates, sometimes, the + and - ends contact briefly, causing such unwarranted and mysterious current draw.

bro If the cig lighter is free from rain and water, so how?
