its a forum? http://www.moto-v.sg/forums/ but so far ive only seen 900's on sale there, but it used to be the official hornet's nest forum for Singapore. so there may be 600 riders still active there. can check it outs.

I resister but it seems the website is like a ghost town, I am unable to post in that forum till the administrator acknowledge my application.

oh well, i guess its kinda a dead site by now :|

Saw you overhaul your Hornet CB250 engine, what happened to it? Recently saw someone posted a FW Hornet 250 for sale at $1200 but the bike need overhaul as its emitting white smoke, make me doubt if the Hornet engine is durable.

nah previous owner neglect, did not fill oil up and rode to malaysia, caused the crankshaft bearings to wear, which in turn caused one of the conrods to get bent, have thus changed x4 conrods x4 cylinder head + x4 rings and crankshaft + bearings

i know the 250's engine is pretty solid if maintained well, gear driven cams = no need valve chain and tensioner, valve clearance also require less attention.

been serving me well after i have overhauled, just some people neglect basic maintenance on their bikes.

not sure for the fw 250's? maybe its cylinder rings worn out, but sounds strange for a relatively new fw plate (7 years old) to get cylinder ring problems, maybe it was abused.

Thanks as I was considering a hornet250 in garage sales, worried the 250 engine is not as durable as S4.

eh guys whats the recommended tire pressure for bandit?

And have you guys ever heard anything about bandits not being able to corner? My mechanic told me that if the bandit has a half a tank of petrol left, the petrol inside will swing towards the side that you are cornering, thus causing your bike to be unstable and easier to buang.

After I heard him say that, I dont dare to corner anymore.

er no la, thats nonsense, that fuel thingy is is true of all bikes, even litrebikes like R1, there are "fuel foam" products made to prevent this (but i dont think this really needed unless you are ultra competitive, hell, im not sure if these products even work)

not to brag, but i did always did 110kmh corners with a bandit at 312C (NSH road exit), during the time i owned it i cornered the bugger till i scraped the mainstand till it was damaged, even scraped the exhaust headers. my brother took his bandit vv to PG and did a decent 2.10, considering his bike had fueling problems.

i would say a problem would be cornering too low and pivoting on the mainstand and crashing, but that would be the extreme limit of the bike already.

no prob! hrm IF i remember properly its 34 front and 36 rear PSI (im quite sure though), if go track maybe consider 31 33? lowering it helps traction (however, sacrifing top speed and increasing wear)

remember to get good tires though, i used the cheap pirelli diablo HR's, 150 size rear, cheap but good nuff for me, my bro used bt090's, very good and grippy, but wears uber quickly.

Hey bro, i saw one at a shop in kaki bukit autobay, was offered to me @ 3k+ with still some good length on the COE,exterior condition seems really nice , red in colour, paint seems very fresh, however one of it's clocks were damaged, ( i think its 200+ for a new set, my bro changed it on his previous VV before)
