Hi, just wondering if any guys out there has ever full settled their outstanding loan with S***Y motor early? May i know what the penalty charges were?

$500, $800 or $1800?

I wonder if there's something we bikers can do about this early settlement issue. Technically it dun make sense at all. Even for car loans we're given interest rebate for early settlement but this bike shops happily charging bikers this sum for no reasons. Haiz...

bro, I m thinking of selling my car. When I check my full setttlement with the finance company, they also charge me early settlement fee.

So i believe this fee thing not only apply to bike shops but also to other car finance company too. Not sure about banks. :sian:

I bought a bike from them some time back and they were OK to deal with.

The only prob is that they have dumb and slow mechanics. Gave me a warranty but didn't know what they were changing or what the problem was and told me the problem was solved when it wasn't. Went to another good mech, didn't even need to test the bike to know what's wrong with it!

Anyhow, they're supposed to sell bikes since that seems to be their main bussiness. I'm not suprised by their incompetent mechanics anyway.

Regarding people who paid absurd intrest rates, why bother signing in the first place?

Regarding paintwork, you can see they don't paint bikes, they sell 'em.. why ask them to paint a bike?! Would you go to Sim Lim Square to buy clothes?

Then again, it's good that at least people can experience situations like this. Take it as lesson learnt. Be thankfull it's only a small sum of money. Rest assured, you won't make the same mistake in the future. At least you'll know what to look out for when buying your bigger bike if you ever do.

Ride safe!

It's your damn bike, wash it yourself! You rinse your own mouth after you eat, don't you?

Yes you ned to fork out the COE becos they already register the bike. But check in onemotoring whether the new RXZ bike register under your name. $800 mean your cancel fee and blah blah fee.

Maybe ask them to list the price of everything in dollars. So you have a clear picture of it.

1. machine price

2. COE

3. ERP

4. Watever fee.

5. GST

You can post here if you wan to..

I think no one here can help you. Unless some very very kind soul in sbf and know them very very well. Becos u already sign black and white. Good luck.

From the promised of 6k OTR to 9.4k is really outrageous.

Have you sign the hire purchase form or purchase form that u r buying bike @ 9.4k? If not, either u probably can forsake the 800 deposit, and don't bother to pay anymore single cent.

Otherwise if you'd signed to acknowledge that you are paying 9.4k, just too bad. Can't really help you.

Ask them if they have signed documents that u are willing to pay this amount for COE as well as the OTR price of 9K. Otherwise, down-payment is just down-payment, even if bike transfer LTA also won't valid as a breach of your agreement with the bikeshop. Approach CASE, here in SG, we still have consumers' right.

bro,

is it ur interest 5.7% and u take a 10yrs loan? if thats the case then the sum is right.

5.7% of $6000 = $342 interest incur per year

u multiply this amount by ten year is $342 x 10 = $3420

since ur COE is $1159, then i assume ur your bike machine price is $4841?

ur $800 most probaly become adminstrtive fee, misc , deposit watever fee they come up with.

So u deposit $800 for them to secure the bike and COE for u and u take the full loan amt of $6000 (which is the OTR price). couple with the interest of $3420 over 10 yrs. thats y the total become $9400?

r u paying a monthly installment of $78.3?

If my working is correct, then they din short change u actually. 5.7% is it consider reasonble in today's new bike market? I am not too sure. but i was charged 6% back in 1995 for my new honda steel. :cheeky:

almost no bikeshop in singapore will loan you for 10 yrs.

IMO go report this matter to C.A.S.E. they will not hound you anymore.

no need to stress

they think you "cai niao" can chop.

Don't be fooled by paperwork. I'm sure you didn't sign on the amounts that the included on their own.

Call newspapers etc..! people in singapore like a "juicy" story especially when it comes to chop shops!

Call their bluff, at most you'll loose your downpayment.

they might have acquired the coe but for sure not registered it to the bike yet..

they can still sell it off to the next "cai niao"

bring someone older to make noise if they don't take heed then go C.A.S.E & call up the newspapers! woo hoo

hope i get to see your news......!

Personally, I will never ever patronise the here mention Sh@p....

Been hunting for either a class 2 or 2A bike since a year ago, ever been to this here said sh@p to hunt a few times & enquire a few 2nd rides... but will never ever head back after experiencing ~ " Wonderful:slapforehead: and Colourful  body language" exhibited by the *boss* himself... ... :puke:

*Over my dead body, will I ever step into that/this *SH@P* again....

Instead, I'm very please with my recent purchase of my CB400 (2nd hand) from Ubi ~ Wing Fatt. Although been there many a times to enquire about 2nd rides, the bosses and staffs are ever so helpful and courteous. All transaction $$ and verbal $$$ was make known before hand and clearly indicated on paper till the lass penny (no last mintue heart attack or what so ever!) , before signing of the contract...:o

+ I sign at 2pm and collected my bike at 7pm the very day... Is that fast or what?:thumb:

Kudos to "Ng" Brothers of Wing Fatt!:thumb:

Hey people,

I abt to get a super 4 soon, but so lucky that the current owner is still

On intstallment of THIS shop . Need some advices to take note of

To prevent cheated and stuff. I need to take over his installment.

But the thing is instead of the usual upfront 3mths of installment

And able to transfer ownership, they told the owner that I need

To actually pay a downpayment instead and the balance of

The installment add or 7% of interest to it. But

Wasnt the 7% is already added on in the previous currently

Installment that he is paying? Need help and advice or

Proper procedures to handle this transfering of owner issue

And thhings which I can do to prevent chop by them.

Need to clarify the nesserary cost of transfering ownership

And paper work.

I seriously wanted the bike, just that so unlucky to met with

This speedway shop. Haix.

Thjx in adavance!

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!
