I have never re-spray any of my bikes, except my diversion which i ask Mah Motor to do for me, i believe they subcontract out. Anyway, motorbike spray jobs usually very seldom professional, the best is those car spray with spraying booth, and oven bake the paint. If DIY, proper procedure is sand down, prime 1-2 layer, then coat 5-6 layer, drying time between layers half a day best, clear coat 2-3 layer. Then use hair dryer go over the surface for better drying. If you can wait, leave bike in basement carpark away from sun for at least 3 weeks, that should allow the paint to bond well and sets in. But how many shops got this type of thorough service? Or settle within 1 week! Most probably is the clear coat over spray many many times to protect the paint, but doing this, the paint underneath may change colour after you take the bike, then you know its because of insufficient setting in time. My 2 cents worth. If you dont mind local paint shop standard, than spray, alternative is carbon wrap would get better even result, but also expensive, i think at least $200 also.

Small bike is not meant to go fast for long periods of time, the vibs to me is ok, not as bad as Harley Davidson.

Road tax $100+, insurance $100+, parking? small enough to park bicycle lot or inconspicous spaces out of sight of most people, or even go inside lift bring home

!

just barely 3months im now also a victim of motor oil leak for this bike:(. it only start dripping after a ride(few drops). when i open up the left side cover, the small chain inside is already well lubricated with motor oil. its actually leaking from the bottom screw holes. is this the same kind of leaking issue common for this bike?

I'm thinking of getting a 2nd Madass but after reading several post of different issues, I might think twice.

well the problem turn out to be oil seal(as usual), just not from the common area talked of in other post. and the O ring as well.... after fixed its as good as new.

2007-8 batch of this bike have many problem plus its only 4 gear. i have heard the newer model is 5 gear hopefully they solved all the minor problem as well.

its affordable and insurance much much lower then sport bike.
