Ya book a bigger room so that if chilly can make it, he can bunk in with me and another person which was just confirmed as JB, if chilly confirmed he cannot go, I would just downgrade to a smaller room lah. No worries. JB, BTW I am 30, very straight Chinese Male here. You just pay for your share of the deluxe room's amount if I cannot cancel the reservation. I will pay for the rest. I just check the reservation, I book the junior suite only RM 240++ instead. :thumb:

The below items are used and came off from my bike, a 2004 model.

Already off from my bike, and now in the original packaging with CDROM + cable + manual + stock map. Use for about 1.5 year.

Tashi: Yeah, I think I can meet you at your place that time. Better than getting lost across the causeway.

I prob not getting the cam mount yet, still deciding on which one to get. There are a number of choices out there. This one I posted doesnt allow us to move the cam vertically up n down. It can only rotate left right, and rotate up down a little. Would want one that can move vertically up down as well. Found one from this website, but the mount isnt designed specifically for the gas cap.

RAM Mount

Check out this website for more ideas on cam mounts http://www.pashnit.com/more/cameramount.htm

Btw, I dont have a video cam anyway...hehe...only can mount a still cam if I buy it.

My First Encounter with Maxima

Just changed to Maxima Ultra 5w40 after getting a few bottles from Tashi. The initial journey with it was extremely smooth. Plus it doesnt feel too heavy. But this is just the 1st few km, hopefully this smoothness will be able to remain. Very pleased with the oil, as of now. :thumb:

i took the day off from work to get my bike done properly - you know... cant rush art...

the day wasn't very productive though...

when you saw me, i was on the way to this popular bike parts dealer trying to get the wrong specs of plugs sold to me two nights before...

i ended up wasting half of the day correcting it.

i knew the guy wasn't trying to cheat me... it was more like lack of attention to what the customer really want... and since everyone else was using the specs he recommends, i'm expected to do the same. eeeh!!! wrong!!!

the fellow even showed me both plugs side by side just to prove they're similar... except the number...(as if asking why so fussy).

yes, the physical appearance maybe the same... but those "monkeys" at NGK didn't decide to change the number just for the fun of it, did they?

i asked for apples, he tried to give oranges and expect me to carry on, after all these are all edible fruits.

i'm not in the habit of collecting enemies so, when we're done with the right plugs, i shook his hand and i left... now i cant say which parts dealer they are.

So the BS mech didn't get his hand on the bike till after lunch.

but by then, he's already worried subconsciously, about getting the bike done before the bell rings... he even lost one of my ferring screws... as if i dont know...

The K&N filter i bought (from the same popular shop) didn't got on the bike. too late to mull over the Gap.

Guys with K&N filters on, whats your take on this?

the gap seems like by-passing the filter to me.

Tashi... this morning while riding to work... Ultra 5w-40 was very smoooth... the extra "o" wasn't typo error... the engine felt loose and willing to go...

the ticking sound i hear (even with the other oils) became a bit noticeable, though. especially at crawling speed i.e. jam.

see pix here

LastDance: I'm not sure if its street legal, waiting for their reply on this.

beagle: Not sure if 05 model can use anot, I'll ask them.

Raptor: Maybe I should try 5w50 sometime and feel if there r any differences myself. Tashi rec 5w40, you rec 5w50.... so need to try it out for myself to know which is is better for me.

2nd oil change will feel better and more consistent throughout the lifespan, after the previous oil is properly flushed out.

5W50 feels too thick for me, like robbing engine of horsepower. Engine breaking is very strong, especially on the 06, to the point of upsetting the bike. Even my professional pillion can feel the rear wanting to slide when I close throttle from high rpm. But try to see which works best for you. At high rpm, the 5W50 does feel better ... naturally.

Rommel, the only difference between BMC & K&N is the mileage, other than that, I can't feel any difference.

The video I was talking about earlier. Race 1, Fireblade wins F1 car. Just listening to the F1 car shifting gear is orgasmic. The acceleration is amazing once it properly gets the power down.

If anyone can find the Red Bull F1 car vs Fireblade vs plane, pls post. I missed it on CNA.

Probably talking about the owner's head. Ride newer bike, lagi big headed. Should look at the riders of the 06 models, head bigger than helmet!!! :faint:

Wahahahahahah!!!!

:sorry: Joking only ah... don get angry. I nothing better to do coz got to get up early to go to PG.

Heh, I'd like to meet your friend.

But comparing the 04 & 05 to 06, the fairing on the 04 & 05 is wider. Better for touring as the wind is deflected away from the rider.

I was told, the HRC machine's pipes are supplied by Akra. The other manufacturers just pay a fee to have have their brands stuck on the MotoGP bikes.

Think about it, will HRC loan out their bikes to each exhaust manufacturer to have them R&D a pipe for the RCV?

The finish on the Akra does look top notch.

Somehow I'm not very fond of bikes and parts having pictures of animals or insects on them though, heh. A lion on the Aprilia, a scorpion on the Akra, a dog on the Veltro ... I hope Honda doesn't start using Garfield or centipedes on their machines.

My bike is due for servicing soon. Maybe will try the 5w40. Anyway what plugs should i get replaced and how much are they? 1st time changing plugs for my blade.

Tashi - haven't you heard? Honda is using Hello Kitty
