Hockie, that is the 06 Night Rod. Here's a pic of the 07 Special. 2 has already made a booking, but Harley may only allocate 1 for SG.

 

The 07 Special is much more nicer, with black wheels, orange perimieter highlights and J bikes styled exhaust. Matt black also looks wicked. But look at the foot controls, it's forward mounted, compared to the 06 Night Rod, which is mid mounted. You have to be at least 180cm to ride it comfortably.

 

07 Special is a little over 38K, machine price with insurance. COE not added.

Coil burnt on the 150706,....

33934km,...

Had it change to a recoiled one,...

Till now no problemz soo far,...

Current diztence milleage noe bout 39000++,...

So bout more than 5k diztance done,....

For 38k, can actually consider getting a MV Agusta Brutale.

i'm still much interested in the RR1k....but sad to see the coil problem which some far de 600RR does not face.

So far, not many Bladers have written in to provide the engine and chassis # to BS. I just got off the phone with Andy. Only 2 have written in.

 

How this can help with the investigation is that, it will allow them to identify where these affected Blades are built, and ultimately allow them to trace to the source of the issue.

 

Hockie, last Sat night, we met a couple, the husband rides a 1000RR while the wife a 600RR. It seems the 600RR is experiencing the symptoms of a burnt coil as well.

 

Somehow I can’t appreciate BMW bikes, I think they’re visually very unappealing.

 

Ah Chua, the Blader you saw last night was Ismail.

 

He went with his pregnant wife to JB. The rear tyre blew up while he was riding.

 

Lucky that did not jammed up the rear tyre and threw both of them into the air. Otherwise I cannot imagine what will happen to Shida and the baby. Also Shida loves to go on the bike while having the baby. I am thinking the lucky baby prevented the accident from happening. The baby perhaps will be born to race, like Rossi.

 

Some information some of you might find useful, the Bike Shop at GP Esso is closed on Sundays, however, those guys were actually in the shop chit chatting. There’s a number to call as well in case of emergency. Ismail actually went there to have his tyre patched up. Otherwise to tow the bike back to SG is S$350, quoted by Bikebulance.

I have an Italian friend who has a friend who works for Aprillia. We were just talking and apparently, the Italian manufacturers know they cannot compete with the Japanese. So how they are coming about is to built bikes that are expensive and exclusive. The exclusivity has a certain appeal to everyone. Everybody wants to be unique in their own way.

 

I was very close to getting an MV Agusta. But I like to research on what I buy. I downloaded the manual, and found out that the valve adjustment interval is so short a distance. I can’t remember the actual distance, but it was a real turn off and I decided that I don’t want one.

 

BTW, Diwali greetings to our Indian friends and Selamat Hari Raya to our Muslim riders.

thats something new to me. maybe i dont put in BiG miles on de machine.

 

so far,fellow bros in de 600RR tread sont face the coil problem yet.just weak pickup...weak power everywhere(as compare to yummy/gixxr 600).

The US Bladers are luckier. Don't really have to bother about writing in. Just see a lawyer, and Honda asks if they want a new bike.

Tashi they dont have to ask from us the chasis number especially those bkes warranted by B.S.

If they are really sincere in helping us they could have at least dig up their records of all blades that have changed coils there

Take the effort to find their customers and do a bit of research

I'm sure they can or another way is to publicise the issue using the media

Then I think most bladers would step out and respond

If this is the way that they are gong to so called 'Reach Out' to us then forget it

Most of the bladers are pissed of with the issue at least they could do is to make it easier and show some concern for bladers:mad:

I hv a real scare today, I thought my coil burn again As my house on a slope so I was able to push start the bike by rolling down the hill. I went to Boon Siew and found that it was only a case of battery unable to charge case but wasted my whole morning instead of studying. Sianzz
