With all the coils from Honda being fried... am very tempted to put on this one.

Mebbe start a mass order and bring back the stuff in April for you guys.

Thats a fantastic idea and suggestion... :thumb:

Stator Coil - ESG957 - US$139.00

Rectifier - ESR430 - US$109.00

but whats your personal opinion of that coil?

Aparently, i have yet to hear of any of the 1000rr blades having any problems yet with the new coil and flywheel change, which is of good news!

Anyway, im getting a little worried, coz my bike seems to be a little weak on and off when i start my engine (but only in the mornings so far), and i dont have a voltmeter, gosh.

I'll be heading down to the workshop when they reopens after this new year break, to check my batt volt current n perhaps my coil too.

hoped its nothing i feared for....

Good look out. But Electrosport seems to be having problem with this particular model of stator for the 1000rr as well.

Welp looks like I'm going thru this stator hell as well, first stator OEM lasted 7K miles on my 2004 cbr1000rr, replacement Electrosport HD Stator lasted something like 400-500 miles before it went...

Electrosport stator #3 is on it's way. I fried another one on the way to work today. :( It seems that the high rpm's are killing it. So I'll get this new one in and get it to the shop on the Dyno and...

OK So update on the Electrosport Stator!!! 216 miles and I've already SMOKED IT!!!!!! I'll be contacting them in the morning (Because right now I'm stuck at work with a bike that don't f***ing...

Need to change my tyres very soon.....

Thinking of trying BT015...

bcos i have not tried that tyres personally on my blade yet....

probably ill be looking at touring and everyday riding use only.

Heard that the new dual compound tyres by Michelin Pilot Power 2CT are curently the best in the market.

Any suggestions guys?

I am currently using Pilot Power.

I have mentioned this in a few posts back, these tyres are not very grippy. I slipped a few times on this tyre in Fraser's Hill. This did not happen with my previous 015. On wet roads, it's even worse. Even Agustina felt the constant sliding.

It doesn't warm up as quick as the 014 or 015. There's a corner I have to take about 100m after I get out of my carpark at work. I can feel the Pilot Power sliding everytime I take that corner on cold tyres, but not on my 015.

The newer 2CT is supposed to have a few inches (2 inches I think) of softer compound from the edge. I don't see that advantage being translated to street use. Also, the Pilot Power does not feel very neutral. I doubt the 2CT will differ much.

A few of us have tried it, all didn't like it. Again, this is not to say it's not a good tyre, perhaps it's not the best fitment for the Blade.

Dropping pressure to 240 front and 280 rear seemed to have helped a lot. Perhaps the standard recommended pressure is not suitable for the Pilot Power. I think this tyre is worse compared to the Diablo Corsa.

Kosong is using it, either Chye or Cosmos is using it I think.

I wonder whoever told you the 2CTs are the best have tried them. Anyone else here tried the Pilot Power or the Pilot Power 2CT on the Blade?

Just curious, what should the tyre pressure be?

does 600 blade counts?

been using the Pilot power for track/road(90%/10%).

find the tire to work well when it "below" the honda recommanded pressure(-10~20) for street use & F31R30 will result in nice orange peel instead of rough peel.

the tire warm up slower then BT014 but dun suffer "overheat" issue like the BT014.

and yup...it suck in wet....sliding when on painted surface & floating if riden in rain.

it more like a summer tire and due to the "profile" the tire is "eager" to Lean as compare to BT014 which "feel" more strenght needed just to "Lean".arms will glow bigger with BT014 in track.

I think now Din blur already, dunno what tyre to get.

I guess it boils down to whether you're geared more for track or street, so far, with Metzler, you won't go wrong. But I feel it's over my budget. 015 is good enough for me.

Chye, congratulations on your new purchase. BTW, have you ridden the 2CT in the rain?

some stock 600 blade comes standard with BT014.but i felt it is not suitable for track but more for road use or touring.

i believe uncle raptor(with his experiance/knowldge) can come & explain the "Score" which BT014 has at PG alone...lolz

*i only recall two....& both 600 blade "did" it with de BT014.:sian:

while Pilot power for road use may prove too much to handle due to it "eager to lean" especially in the rain.:faint:

it really depends on whats the intented purpose of the tire instead of limit to the "model" of fav.:cheeky:

Hehe... That was an old show rite? The one where they demostrated, throwing the Honda Cub down a 2 storey building, then a rider picks the bike up, starts & go..

As what 'shark' told u,no worries for the 600 as he himself riding 1.600 got no issues with the coil but if u have 1000,then start to worry

Every organisation is like a tree full of monkeys.Ones at the top can only see monkeys below them and ones at the bottom see only a**holes above them.
