additional review & info, i give some review in Bike Spec Review > Honda CBR1000RR 08, so might as well add it here too :thumb:

ummmm no need to close throttle, juz turn it at least a quater turn in split seconds @ 8k rpm, and voila upz u go.

HOWEVER!!! i strongly recommend that u try learn & play with gear 1 power wheelie if u never play before high speed wheelie, gear 2 can goes all the way til 220km/hr on 1 wheel. ITS FREAKING DANGEROUS! 1 small hump/pot hole = :goodluck:

Please understand that newer bike no doubt stronger n faster, but their ECU Limit cut is also more strict, For honda bikes, temperature will affect the overall power give by ECU reduce in certain %. Honda's with their auto enrichening ECU's that go super rich as the engine temp climbs

my 04 cbr1000rr if i am not wrong when the temperature hits:

168-172 degrees is a window

173-178 is a window

179-184 is a window

185-194 is a window

195-205 is a window

206-212 is a window

213-218 is a window

& with the additional Air goes in, it will bring down around 5% of the engine power each time.

*Note: the temp window is for Engine, not for the radiator given out by the meter dash board, however if u where to estimate it, i will say the first window begins @ 94 Degree on tach meter, and every around 3 degree is a window.

i still does not have info for the window regarding cbr1000rr 08, but based on wat i know and feel, if i am not wrong 91 Degree is the 1st window...

Honda CBR1000RR 08 have power cut in their 7.5k rpm in gear 1 & 2 thats make 1 of the reason why it sucks on pick up. but smooth on slow traveling.

well still its wat u 1 right, if u 1 2 beasty on low rpm, u can't expect a smooth ride during low rpm too. i would say its the balance point

vrooooom, another round, never slow down

Knock'em down in .01 seconds

Let's leave our mark here and disappear to the next group

The loser's left crawling on the ground in a cloud of dust

The wannabes are all talk, They just get in the way so let's ignore'em

We takes off, beyond the street

Only den they'll know!

Man, that sucks.

dafeimao85, what is this 5% power cut everytime the air goes in??? Have not heard of this before.

We're now about 2 months before Sepang MotoGP, this should be the time of the year where we make plans for our annual pilgrimage.

I think this year, I will be driving up. My Fit RS will be up against Ismail. Dunno whether can beat him or not since I don't require top up at Pagoh, hehe. Hopefully you gay boys will smoke long long at R&Rs, and take time to touch each other's backside. LOL.

So far the plan is ...

17 Oct (Fri) - Leave SG for Ipoh, stay a night up in Cameron.

18 Oct (Sat) - Leave Cameron, stay a night in KL.

19 Oct (Sun) - Leave for SG.

for bikes with immobilizer, they just come in a van. 3 ppl come down n pick the bike into the van, then drive off. takes less than 1 minute. happened to my fren's CBR1k at his office n captured on CCTV. police did not take any action though. lazy b**tards..

for my bike, i was just sitting 6 feet away from it but separated by a wall. farking thief managed to pick my lock and ride it away in less than 3 mins.

i could only hear the sound of my bike when the guy was speeding into the NSH, without helmet/short pants/slippers.

But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that!"

its not only in johor. its everywhere in malaysia. about cases of stolen bigger capacity bikes, there is a single big syndicate operating from JB (they cover the whole of malaysia). i know because i LL had to buy back my bike from them. paid a 5-digit sum just to get back my stolen bike.

hotspots for stolen bikes now according to rank, johor (whole damn state), ALL NSH rest areas & NSH petrol stations, KL & selangor (whole state), malacca & negri sembilan (many stolen bike cases coming up).

btw for those who lost their bikes & want to give a try in getting it back (if no insurance claim) can PM me... can offer u guys some advice cos i went thru the whole ordeal of getting it back myself.

its not really a engine cut, to be specific terms its the ECU Safety Features. what it does is that when the temperature hits the window, it "allows" more air to goes into the engine (i also dunno how they could control their air intake, as i have done my RAM AIR MOD & my vstacks, but still result the same... most prob my thinking is instead of adding more air, maybe they reduce more fuel) so giving a super rich combustion it will lost its power, in a estimation of 5% per window. so thats why @ high speed u wun hit the window!

this is actually more related to dynojet, if u use pc3 and the dynonist lazy to tune honda bike (means that to tune honda bike, after several run, u must let the bike to cool down. if the dynoist never let the bike cool down allow the window to be activated, the bike tunning will be affected. this is because imagine ur engine is @ 90% power n u tune it according to the 100% power, ur out put ratio of 100% is 90%, so when u playing high speed where it will be more colder engine temp, no window activate, the engine is @ 100%, the differential will come in)

sorry i got real poor english. i try to extract the data out for u.

Here it is!!!

There are so many little things that have to be accounted for, one of the main issues is engine temperature. With the current 3D mappings now on Fi bikes they respond drastically to temperature variations (especially Honda's with their auto enrichening ECU's that go super rich as the engine temp climbs) & if the dyno operator isn't making sure that he starts the consecutive runs giving sufficient time to get the engine back to the original temp of the baseline run then you can get extreme variances in horsepower up to 7-10 horsepower sometimes from as little as a 5 degree engine temperature change which can give you misleading tuning information if you are not watching for it (& that is just one example). People have asked for more in depth info on this subject so I'm going to add some more:

Current Honda ECU's automatically get richer as the engine temp increases the air/fuel ratio is changing constantly at a non linear rate. For instance you may get the 100% perfect map developed for your bike on the dyno & let's say the engine is at 185 degrees, well at certain points in the rev range their are windows in the ECU where the mapping changes the mixture. Let me give you some examples (these windows will be different for each model of bike & even the same model of bike can have different ECU eproms for various countries/regions)

168-172 degrees is a window

173-178 is a window

179-184 is a window

185-194 is a window

195-205 is a window

206-212 is a window

213-218 is a window

Each one of those windows has a different mapping forced by the ECU that alters the air fuel ratio of the bike & generally they get richer in steps (sometimes a window at a higher temp can also be leaner) so even though the PCIIIr map may be perfect for 186 degrees it may not be so great for 195 degrees & it then might be worse or better at even 206 degrees etc....

Now with the factory ECU already over rich it is very hard to find these windows even with a gas analyzer on a load control dyno, but once you add a Powercommander & get a good A/F ratio which produces better power & crisper throttle response then you may start to notice that the bike runs better at certain temps than others. Even with the stock ECU you can tell if you know what to feel for. You yourself may have noticed that at certain temps (harder to tell on bikes without a digital gauge) that the bike seems to run smoother & even shifts easier.

Well so the problem for us is asia too hot, easily hit window temp compare to States or Europe, so we always get power cut unless we @ high speed :thumb:

Cosmo's bike is a 954 or 1000RR ? if it has HISS, they confirm cant crank the bike. they can only shove it into a van.

there have been 1 case in Muar, some guys unloaded a 954 into a workshop claiming they have lost the key. asked the shop to repair/replace the ignition... the shop did not replace the HISS, n the guys did not come back to collect the bike for a very very long time. it was after some time, the shop owner decided to lodge a police report... they checked the chassis number, it was a singapore bike reported stolen in JB some time ago.

there are cases where the syndicate will steal the bike (with HISS) and then replace a new HISS system, ECU & everything... after that sell it off to unsuspecting buyers in KL for a very cheap price, RM12k-RM17k for a 04/05 blade.

Why did you buy back? Should call the police to nab them when they bring the bike to you.

i informed the police; the I/O who was in charged of my case, when i got news of my bike being offered in the black market. police lazy to act, ask me do my own investigation first. "you find out where they hide the bike, tell me then i ask my people go catch" was the reply i got.

i had no choice but to buy back after waiting for police to act on my case. (i did call up a few CID's privately to find my bike but could not get)

for the cops, i offered the reward of RM10k cash on the spot if they can get back my bike. my IO totally did not care about it despite the reward, the CID's went for it, caught a thief who in his possession has 6 sg-registered sbks hidden in his house but it my bike was not there. since his actions were not officially approved by any police station, he just hauled the thief into the nearest police station... but u know what ? the next thing he got was a warning from the station's superiors not to meddle in their territory. thief was let off...

during all these events, my contact told me that the thieves holding my bike has gone into hiding... only after 1+ month i received a call from my contact saying that the thief now is ready to release my bike for a price. i had to pay RM10k cash to their so-called "runner" who took the money to their boss, next day only can go collect the bike. i did not get to see their faces, they just called saying the bike is where n where... we had to go to their specified location.

btw i heard they have in their possession, more than 100 stolen big bikes. all the stolen bikes we hear of everyday, is from the same syndicate... its a very big syndicate out there operating in the whole of malaysia (with some cops on their side).. so guys pls be very very careful whenever entering malaysia on ur bikes.

during all these events, my contact told me that the thieves holding my bike has gone into hiding... only after 1+ month i received a call from my contact saying that the thief now is ready to release my bike for a price. i had to pay RM10k cash to their so-called "runner" who took the money to their boss, next day only can go collect the bike. i did not get to see their faces, they just called saying the bike is where n where... we had to go to their specified location.

btw i heard they have in their possession, more than 100 stolen big bikes. all the stolen bikes we hear of everyday, is from the same syndicate... its a very big syndicate out there operating in the whole of malaysia (with some cops on their side).. so guys pls be very very careful whenever entering malaysia on ur bikes.

Man, this sucks to the point of deepthroating already.

My moral lecturer was right, if we keep giving bribes, we will destroy the moral fabric of society, now without cash rewards, police will not do their work. Looks like the police are even moonlighting as thugs to earn extra cash.

The runner probably works under another police, that's why he wasn't thrown in the slammers. They don't want to step on each other's toes.

hmmmm here is another review for playing straight road.

due to the super strong mid range, roll-on on ANY (n i mean ANY) gears & at ANY speed is no big problem for this DEMON!!! The super mid range gearing makes it a super torpdoes!

example: u are playing roll on @ 2nd link with a person, u filter out and maintain 100km/hr on gear 6 waiting for the fellow, the bugger cheated and zoom pass u, u got anxious and forget to drop to gear 2 and full throttle! FRET NOT, cause u will be most properbly right behind its tail!

i also realise that if u play it like how R1 eat GSXR, using the exact same tactics and u will be champion on the road.

more technical terms is that since they (GSXR, R1, ZX10) are geared taller, they would eventually reel the CBR back in during the top end, but by that point the CBR will be out of sight because it's so far ahead, it isn't even funny :thumb:

Oei..... stop telling people how to play on main roads..... wana play go track .............. :gun: :gun:

"去哪兒???" ("Go where???")

Straight roads differentiate the rich and the poor

Corners differentiate the boys and the men
