How do you run in your new bike??? I know that when run in time RPM should always remain at 4-4.5k RPM, am i right? Then how about the oil change when run in time?

 

1st oil - 800km

2nd oil - 4000km

3rd oil - 8000km

 

OR

 

1st oil - 800km

2nd oil - 1800km

3rd oil - 3600km

4th oil - 5000km

 

anyway im very very confuse about this run in problem. And will you send your bike for service to your own bike shop or agent?

Some do it according to manual, and some take more precautions like - 100/800/2000/5000/10000......something like this.

 

i suggest if possible change the 1st oil earlier, and bring the bike back to the place u bought for the free oil change if they have it.......otherwise bring to boon siew lor as i know they will help check other parts too....

 

hope this will help u to determine the run in of your own....

Erm, hard run in? Whack the moment it out of the shop. Carry on whack till around 80km then oil change. Did it for my last 2 bikes and this the 3rd bikes doing so. No side effect. Anyway your bike had been started and rev during the QC testing before shipping out.

yah that's true on the part of the QC testing.....

I did high rev run in too, change oil at 30, 250, 1500, 2500, now still running mineral till 4,500 maybe.

hey guys, need your help here......recently when i noticed that there's a "tick" sound coming from the front suspension when i do hard braking or when i go over the hump.....i thinks its whenever the suspension has a slightly more movement then this sound would appear....

 

sometimes it "ticks" one time, then sometime twice......but everything seems fine, i've checked the area but there's no signs of leakages as well as rubber cracked.......i've also tried turning off the engine and just shake front and back with the bike and i could hear the sound.

 

everything seems just fine when i'm doing braking, its just that i don't like that sound........any ideas guys?????

i've checked the area there's nothing stuck at the hose and all was clear......however the sound still persists, the front suspension goes down smoothly as i've tested a few times but just couldn't fin out where does the sound come from......

acutually the "tick" sound sometimes can be felt by the handlebars but a very small feeling only.......

 

anyway if its really like what u say its the brake, is there giong to be any problem???

Worn-out/faulty cone bearings normally causes a tick-tock sound during hard breaking. You can buy me tea too if its true :thirsty:

hi guys, helping my friend to ask something about his bike.....

 

whenever he open up the throttle, there's a click sound.....this happens when he close the throttle and open again also. However he couldn't locate the sound, i've tried the bike and i just know that its only coming from the front area....

 

or is it normal??

 

so guys any ideas???? :?

after removing my OEM brake lever replaced wit an R1 OEM master pump, braking had improve quite a bit...esp the biting part.

its brembo ma... but why didnt you get the 19x20s or even the RCS? Its a better investment in my honest opinion

same as mine a 2006 cbr.....i've just went out with him for dinner and notice that his bike when close the throttle also have this click sound, then when u open throttle again, also click once

Wld like to ask u guys....for 1000 RR 2005 - 2007.....the compartment under pillion seat...is it big enough to put 1 set of raincoat ?

 

 

no, its only enough for a set of tools and some coupons or documents....
