Michelin 2CT is a tyre that force you into corner one sia.... why not try Bridestone BT016, this tyre oso have dual conpound like 2CT. I heard the review is not bad...i try to feel on BT016 the side compound is very sticky.

very very true....2CT really brings u lower automatically...

u think this lean angle is enough it will bring u lower..

tats why i like it...trust its cornering grip.

mine is still sticky till now...

1yr plus n 20000++km on it and rear side walls fully used up...

top speed wise...believe me still very stable using 180 going 299 consider my weight. im light.

nvr adjust tire pressure maintaining at 275rear.

U mean engine or exhaust sound louder?? I know that the engine of honda bikes sounds softer and that is good.... For exhaust, u are right... compare stock to stock... honda to other makes, the exhaust does sound softer... bt if with aftermarket exhausts, then i can't really tell.......

u too notice the difference in noise level when a honda stops beside a yammy or even a suzy...

when change to aftermarket, honda will be louder than suzy but yammy will be even louder i don know why...

So what is the setting on the Dyno chart for stock? Can pls to update here. thanks so much. I until now still never set any changes....

No settings...

Just references from aftermarket exhuast charts ... took from Akra website.

They always show the stock map and one after the system is installed right?

9000 rpm is where the MAx torque is achieved at max bhp....

I just think not very safe.....If need to squeeze hard then can see brake light, either i fly forward or cars bang mi from behind not knowing that i'm braking.......

No need to trouble lor...when u doing breaking alway remember to tap some rear break lor. I think is this the only way. But also not safe at the same time cause maybe when u count emergency time u may fully step on the rear break. Dangerous sia....:sian::sian::sian:

I see if I can answer on this. Theoritically if u fit a 180 tyre, you will have a sharper tyre profile as compared to a rounder profile of a 190. So if both uses the same tyre pressure, 190 will always provide a more contact surface area than 180. 180 will have higher wear as well due to lesser surface contact area to take the friction.

However the advantages of the 180 provide a more agile handling of the bike due to sharper profile. During a S bend, the rider can change it direction faster without much effort. Smaller tyre will means a lighter rotation mass. It like the concept of a 520 conversion or a lighter rim. Faster pickup, lesser power to maintain the speed etc.

I won't really say 180 is more unstable than 190 at high speed. It can be compensate by lowering your tyre pressure. However too low will definately create unstableness. While too high, lesser contact surface area. It about finding the sweet spot.

CHeers bro

How much is BT016 now? I'll get this in my next swap. Any recommended shops to change this?

Racework was clearing some old stock, you can check with them if they still have it.. I came acorss their Ads website was selling quite cheap

Hehehe...catch no ball leh???? that mean every gear we need to change the setting accordingly???

Thats just a graph bro.. cos when they tune your PC3, they set it by rpm per rpm.

The graph just mean that at every gear, the maximum torque is at 9k rpm. This information is useful as the rider, especially trackie or racer, will try to shift around that range. The idea is to get the rpm maintain around that range when you shifted gear so as to ensure maximum torque to propel the bike forward faster. Just imagine after you change gear, the rpm is at 4k rpm, you will need more time to pick up the bike as the torque will slowly rises as the rpm goes up. But if you can maintain the rpm at around 9k rpm range, the maximum power is around there.

Anyone here interested in the gel seat upgrade for the RR8 or at least knows where to get it? I am interested, perhaps we can do a mass order.

No lah...can only set once.

No worries ... the rev limit indicator is just a tool to help you in whatever you needed it perform for you. And it's just a reference point.

For me, I set at 8500rpm cos I dun wanna over-rev the engine. I usually only drag btwn gears 2 to 4 on SG roads and track. NSHW then go full blast to 6 gear.

EBAY . Just got mine about SGD$300 (Slightly less than that, including shipping)

Came in less then 7 days ... no need to wait for 2 months like in bike shops.

Been searching all over in SG...cannot find...not even Boon Siew.

Actually I saw one selling at Motoworld but the price quoted is way higher then the price you got. Still prefer Suzuki where the single seat cowl comes with the bike.

Honda should've included it and made it optional lor.

The one you saw is OEM? or one that just covers the existing seat?

It's just a piece of plastic ... but it makes the bike looks much nicer!

it the OEM seat cowl. Like the one you got. Ya it does make the bike look more slick. But too bad I still need to pillion my CO, so doesn't make sense for me to swapping the seat whenever I fetch her. So in another word, I just save myself 300!! hahahaha.

haha, after taking a close look, actually it abt the gel seat. Alamak, first the pressure switch, now the seat. I think I need to check my eyesight liao.

No worries, dude. All the plastics are just asthetics...blink only.

Bike still looks good!

Looks nicer, fiercer....good stuff! LOL!

Made more space in the rear compartment.

Down side:

-Gaps are not sealed ... compartment gets wet when it rains...not good if you got PCIII in it.That can be fixed.Need to seal the gaps.

-Cannot pillion...unless you and your ride both has got a small tight @ss to squeeze into the front seat.

-It's plastic...can be easily scratched by your shoes while getting onto your bike.

Dude...are you asking about the rear seat cowl????
