No lah...can only set once.

No worries ... the rev limit indicator is just a tool to help you in whatever you needed it perform for you. And it's just a reference point.

For me, I set at 8500rpm cos I dun wanna over-rev the engine. I usually only drag btwn gears 2 to 4 on SG roads and track. NSHW then go full blast to 6 gear.

haha i set it at 9500rpm...

then everytime i hit 270 at gear 5 it lights up then give myself a shock.....

haha

Looks nicer, fiercer....good stuff! LOL!

Made more space in the rear compartment.

Down side:

-Gaps are not sealed ... compartment gets wet when it rains...not good if you got PCIII in it.That can be fixed.Need to seal the gaps.

-Cannot pillion...unless you and your ride both has got a small tight @ss to squeeze into the front seat.

-It's plastic...can be easily scratched by your shoes while getting onto your bike.

Dude...are you asking about the rear seat cowl????

No no, I was asking about the gel seat, not the single seater, LOL. :cheeky:

Looks like everyone got confused.

just passing by..

went down to a bike shop at MAH to have a chat with my long time fren..

I notice a piece of paper that had "BOON SIEW" header.

Ask my fren, he showed me and it was the pricelist of HONDA bikes from boon siew.

and the CBR1000RR9 (RRP) cost a whopping 33k (machine only). And the piece of paper is dated today 27/02/2009

I was like "WOW!!!!!!!!!!!"

My fren told me its because of the strong YEN currency.

Hmm..

Is this so or just boon siew is monopolizing it..?

Oh by the way..

Super4 Revo RRP is 17.8k

Has anyone experienced this before?

Bike went on a false neutral between gear 3 & 4, 4 & 5!

Sounds dangerous?

It happened to me twice!

Once @ PG and once along ECP, both times i dropped a gear to prepare to negotiate a turn!

I was lucky cos I braked 1st to slow down enough, if not I'll be dead!...maybe not so serious lah. But my point is, this is gonna be deadly if it happens at very high speeds just before you make a turn.

Has it got to do with the latest recall rumours about the clutch cable issues?

I'm going to call Boon Siew to check.

I'm posting this to just to give you guys a heads up! Be mindful when entering turns at high speeds.

Happen to me b4. But not just this bike. My previous 750 also. Sometime is due to lazy shifting or light shifting.

The yen is about 25% increases from early 2008 till now. Plus now all manufacturing sector slowed down. So the manufacturing cost had increased and is still increasing. I guess this marked up price is to safe guard Boon Siew interest as the machine or FOB price they get from Honda is reviewed from time to time. And normally distributor will not try to change their selling price so often a year. It safer for them to quote higher and give discount if neccessary then under sell to consumer.

Anyway there is always their agent to give discount to genuine buyer. But at the end of the day, HENG I BOUGHT THE 08 MODEL.

Never happen to me before on this new bike, but based on review by the USA, they got the same problem often too... maybe due to never full pull the gear? lazy?

U mean the gear auto change to Neutral or neutral lighted with gear engaged??

But i dont think this link with the clutch cable...this is 2 different issue.

Pls keep us update...thanks.

Well...when you go fast, you wouldn't wanna risk losing your life just because you're lazy to pull the clutch a little harder would you? Especially when you are doing a clutch in fast, you wanna make sure the gear engages.

The clutch is already pretty light compared to R1s and Ducatis.

Do you know me?

Bike was free wheeling between gears ... no neutral light indication. I was pretty sure it was not neutral. I was going 100+km/hr @ 4th gear, and dropped to 3rd but the gear did not engage...until 1 dropped to 2. My gear indicator reading was at 2 when the gears re-engaged.

i think u dun get what i mean... first thing of all, do u noe u can drop or up a gear w/o using clutch no matter its slipper or non slipper clutch?

what i mean to pull harder as in ur leg when u shift gear, cause when the bike is higher rev, its easily change between gears 2-6 with the strength of ur toe slip it upwards and it will auto engage in... so this is wat i mean. did u fully use ur toe to pull all e way upwards before releasing it?

I know BS used to have to follow the prices set by Honda Japan. Don't know if it still holds true. There was an incident last year when Honda Japan dropped the prices of the Pan Euro, then BS had to follow suit, all the bike shops that had stock of the Pan Euro at the old higher price suddenly couldn't sell their stocks after BS dropped the prices, they were really pissed off with BS, and for awhile, the bike industry seemed to boycott Honda and did not want to carry any Honda bikes.
