expired 2b license

i pass my 2b license 7 years ago. i was 18 then.

i only ride for 1 yr then stopped.

and i never renew my license ever since till nw(totally forget bout it). those days were paper type license.

 

if i were to ride again, do i have to retake my 2B?

anyone in my situation b4?

Might be..My uncle who had a bike licence didn't renew his when it expired..And he was told to retake everythin all over again..Best bet is to ask the drivin centre..

Woah, heard from my dad that's is that time the gov gave them sometime to change everything to the card license or will not be recorded in the main database.

 

But not too sure if you still can include that.

yeah i heard tt time when they change from paper licence to the card one... ur suppose to go along with it...

 

perhaps u can appeal with them... this kinda thing can debate one... watZ the point in switching to card licence at that time and don't ride while now u wan ride u have to take everything all over again... so see how u find the loopholes haha

I'm havin a very hard time tryin to understand what you're tryin to convey in your last long (2nd last) line..

 

If I decipher it correctly..Then the answer should be..The point is..He should have changed to the card licence back then even tho he doesn't wanna ride for the time being..

very hard to understand meh? lolZ i say in more simple terms other pple last time change to card but dun ride,now if they wan ride they no need retake lesson coZ the have card licence le rite? haha so wat bout those who last time din change but now wan ride bike then have to take every lesson to get the card licence... seems rather unfair haha

Cannot say unfair also..As they were given a deadline and were informed about the change..My uncle is one of those affected..But he doesn't like to ride a bike..So no loss for him..

You have to check your last paper licence's expiry date. The old rule was if it is within 3 years from that date you will can apply for a licence w/o going through the process again.

 

but base on what you mention, it looks like you have to take the test again....

If you can show that you were overseas for a long period of time in between the expiry and now, you could have a case for an appeal.

I passed my licence 7 years ago too. Changing of licence to card form was around 2002. The validity of your paper licence remains valid for 3 years. Within the 3 years if you never pay 20 bucks to renew it... it will be gone forever.
