old CG 125 (14 yrs old bike) considered vintage/classic or not?

If you are looking for a old Honda CG as a classic/vintage bike try look for early 70s modle. GC110 or CG125. Early model come with a single round seedometer, round headlight and the fork is with full cover type, the side cover is more rounder. Late 70s come with 2 round meter, long looking side cover and normal fork and mid 80s to 90s meter and headlight is rectangle.

Saw a guy bought few Notron part at chia heng last week.. :bouncefire:

Also saw a blue 70's honda CB400Four.

a old ah pek riding it, he also fix a same RXK seat as my cb350f :sian:

The bike run past chia heng shop. I run over wanna ask whether want to sell but ah pek hell rider, ride very fast!!! lost him at a junction...!! o_O

Saw a Honda cb550f for sale at kallang cycle 2 week ago.

Think going for 5.5K or 6.5k? Cant remember.

 

That cb550f owner also got a T.bird at there for Carb servicing.

 

Those who wanna get a 550 can dorp by and view the bike. Btw the bike using a set of 4 into 4 pipes, look like 4 CG125 pipes on the bike..:cheeky:

Hi Guys,

 

I hope I am not intruding into this thread, and my 1985 Honda NV400MK2 is also considered a classic.

 

I need some recommendation on a good workshop/mechanic who can properly do up the bike. It needs some carbureter tuning, valve gap setting, clutch plate change.....etc.

 

Those motor tiam owner/mechanic who I know are familiar with this bike, are not interested to touch my bike, for reason that I believe is too "slow" money making business for them.

 

I understand old bikes require Leaded petrol, for the engine to work properly. I was once advised to use the petrol additive from Caltex when it was available some years back ( when leaded was just phased out ). Prolonged usage of unleaded, will result in valve "cracking". Anyone here kind enough to comment on this ?
