I think its something to do with the PSB approval process that makes full face helmets so expensive.

 

No, actually FF helmets are easier to get approved, and most of them, before getting here , carry the SNELL or DOT certification which makes it easy for local athoroties to do their own evaluaion.

 

it's here too a question of how the market is : FF is not just considered kiasu, it's also synonym of both troublesome and "made for racing / big bikes / big money".

 

If tomorrow FF helmets become legally mandatory, the prices will drop and we will get cheap ones.

We would leave in the morning, then cross the customs, ride a bit and stop at the A&W to have lunch. After that, we can take some scenic routes not too far and make our way back beginning of the afternoon. Or we can just go, pump, eat and come back if you prefer. More details on the program once I know who will be joining.

 

There are two A&W in JB: one on the east side, @ Permas Jaya shopping center, and one at the west side, @ Bukit Indah.

1: any mascot if any make it simple not too tribal ... it does not matter what animal or beast or monster! .. just simple can do

 

2: since we are a team nor a club yet ... stick to SBT is fine with me no doubt Bajaj did not give any royalties here ... but can consider the word " Rider " .. something like that ..

 

3: need a tag line for the logo .... similar like Pulsar they do have a tag line ... our tag line should show the strength of our group/team/club or what ever it is selected.

We would leave in the morning, then cross the customs, ride a bit and stop at the A&W to have lunch. After that, we can take some scenic routes not too far and make our way back beginning of the afternoon. Or we can just go, pump, eat and come back if you prefer. hey all, just a shoutout.

 

has anyone here changed their rear drum brake to disc? i'm getting a lil bit annoyed cos not less than a few months of changing the rear brake (stock), it starts making noises again. like as if the pad keeps on scraping the walls of the brake caliper. my next assumption would be that the mechs from ah boy didn't fix in the brake properly after changing the tires because the noise came about after that. but the first time i changed the brake was also because it kept on making a screeching sound when i applied the brake. and that was only 8mths from 1st purchase.

 

like oren said, perhaps i'm relying too much on my rear brake.. but i don't think i've been doing that for fear of wheel-locking.. :/

No one has in Singapore yet.

In india and Indonesia, people have done it, either by fixing a new rear disc assembly to the stock wheel, or by using a Honda CBR/S4 wheel for the rear and using that set up.

 

I've been investigating this quite closely and was planning on sending my rear wheel to Indonesia or take it there myself to have this done. Unfortunately, the logistics aren't that easy (cost of shipping/plane tickets, time needed to supervise this, and really just getting around doing it) and i didn;t pursue it further.

 

My brand new stock brakes started screaming after 6 months. It's a normal thing, we're not sure where it comes from. Doesn't mean they are not installed correctly and certainly doesn't mean they are dead. As a matter of fact, after 12 months of use, I've changed them to AFK ones last week. Well, the stock drum pads are still in excellent condition and could still be used according to the mechs. I just felt more comfortable putting new ones in, as the stock ones didn't give me the effect I wanted, and they were making that annoying sound to the point where it sounded like two metallic parts rubbing against each other - just horrible to hear (scary even).

 

I'm sure we could find someone to do this for us in SG
