Hi all Pulsar user, i was wondering if we need to service oil / air filter for Pulsar180. Im using Pulsar 180 analog (older model). So far i have only performed the normal servicing like changing engine oil and spark plug. I went and asked some bike shops and most say, Pulsar no need change oil or air filter. Is there any filter anyway?

Im new btw. ;-)

Thanks for the great help.

i got 1L for 48km hehehehehe.......

breadman u pillion ur wife only ar. i always got pillion ppl 1 loh. beside my gf my friend (70kg) then my weight also 65. i still can get 48/L even dun have that i get 45/L hehehehehe. my normal speed on road is 80, high way is 100 and small road is 40 hahahaha which i'll take when main road damn jam and i go small road enjoy the view and have more fresh air hahahahaha.

got to ask, most pulsar owner base on mileage to determine how much fuel left in tank? as my UG3 got this float problem cant determine the actual fuel left, UM quote $38 to replace the sensor but i heard the problem wont be solve.

i ever had this experience, stop in the middle of the junction as suddenly my bike engine just die on me. try to start but not able, push to side of the road and attempt to start but not success den turn the fuel valve to reserve able to start. and while i'm not able to start the bike, i try to engage it to neutral, the feeling is weird as in i dun feel the gear is engage at all?

i'm new to the bike, just get it for a week. hope to hear from the old bird more! thank

Lastest UPdate...

We could use NSR 150 clutch plate on pulsar... but problem is that, no other mech than UM know or well verse in taking out the plate basket.

Damage if touch by other mech rather than UM.... well... we are looking at

Gear shaft damage and cost to replace the part is = $400 buck... which include part and $200 labour....

So guys.... think twice when u approach other workshop for replacment....

Always try to stick to original part if posible for the ENGINE !

oh ok. i understand wat u mean. thanks.

so far bike has no major prob past yrs.. common ones are just oil leak and the ever-so-frequent hardened diaphragm.

the bike feels ok besides the high stress at high speed. i worry cos i nvr need to change the any engine parts so far. not even clutch plates and mileage is nearly 60000km. Y i worry? cos i used to ride scrambler.. not used to not changing any major parts for so long :)

1) used UL 92 or 95 for petrol is will help to lengthen the life of ur DIAPHRAGM.

2) Change ur rear sprocket to 38 for less stress at high speed and go UM for repair ur exhaust. these will help to lessen the stress for ur bike

3)60k km ??? well... :goodluck:

service air filter is a must. once in a while take out filter to blow with airgun. every 10,000km change air-filter

No la, no heart pain. Its EO is 3.2litre. I enjoy the power and stability of S4 but not its heat.

Then again I enjoy the slow ride on my pulsar even on a hot afternoon.

For me both of them worth the price la. No regret get both of them.

But i'm spending a bit more on the S4 cause its a NEW TOY la :cheeky::cheeky::cheeky: .

the 42 n 44 teeth i believe are the bajaj original parts. they do have aftermarket ones for 38 teeth. 25bux for the 38 teeth sprocket.

So far no problem after change clutch friction pad. More torque/pick up power and shifting gear more smoother.
