if i were to change my sprocket, is it better just to change my rear or change the both front and rear with the chain?

Engine - dun need to spray... use SC1 can liao....

noted. thanks bro.

Sometime RJ will turn white after sometime. Most of us are using Sperex VHT - very high temperature paint (here, they changes name to Simoniz).

You can go to SOH GUAN CHUAN @ Ubi Ave 3,#01-50, to get it cost around $20+. Follow the direction given on the spray can.

I found this VHT FlameProof Coating, read the curing process. Interesting right?

We can get this on ebay, cost around s$13+ (excluding shipment). Don't know how they do shipment by air for compressed air goods?

interesting.. tanx for the info bro.

Bro, for pass week I joined AMK Ah Peh copi session so this is what they recommended and yes is with oil filter changed.

Its also stated in the Spec 3 manual. Some of them even go as low as 2.8L but of cause they use their own special EO la.

Sorry, I'm a newbie in S4 so still learning so bro anything wrong with 3.2L of EO?

oh

haha with oil filter change is ya 3.2L

haha cos u dun fill in 3.2 everytime. haha

w/o oil filter will be 3l

btw nothing beat the specification of the manufacturer... if they say 3L do it as that, dun put less...

trust me :D they are trying to have lesser oil and make the engine rev easier... it is nt going to help and causing more damage to the bike.

Hmmm, actually I am also considering getting a Pulsar. Stuck between the 180 and 200, donno which one to choose. Currently also leaning towards a 200. But when I Googled up '2009 Bajaj Pulsar' seems like indeed both the models are getting a facelift/upgrade. Any senior bros care to share info with regards to this?? Thanks!!

actually decision btw 180 and 200, u mus go down to motor tiam n c the bike ride on it to feel whether u wan 180 or 200. i Jus got my 180 earlier this month..

i initially also thinking of getting a 200, however i go down UM n try it. 200 is higher, n i dun find much diff btw the 2. except for air cooled, oil cooled n the seat

... think you forget about the BIG, SILVER EXHAUST and few more of the P200 ... here I just add on haha ...

The bike has a 200cc engine and oil cooler, which is a self-adjustable one- it adjusts the viscosity of the lubricant oil so the overall performance of the bike is enhanced.

The shock absorbing quality is enhanced by a large 33mm front fork.

Pulsar 200 bike has other wooing features such as a stylish petrol tank flap along with an anti-scratch tank pad, ExausTEC technology in the silencer that maintains engine torque, comparatively light weight of the bike, the split seat with better seating space and excellent performance.

Looks:

Bajaj Pulsar 200 DTSi is available in eye candy black, red and blue colors and looks deceive you like you got an international sports bike in front of you!

The bike has aerodynamically designed petrol tank with tank flaps and beefy front.

The bike has great indicator features such as choked air filter indicator, high oil temperature indicator, a low battery voltage indicator and a low engine level indicator…huh! A big long list right?

The sporty looks coupled with greater chassis rear inclination gives this variant of Bajaj Pulsar DTSi second glances be it in a parking lot or on roads! The bike has usual LED tail and brake lights and the main headlamps and parking lamps emit white light with blue-tinged bulbs instead of the yellow light of incandescent bulbs. These are certainly an improved stuff and more friendly to eyes!

Performance: Bajaj Pulsar 200 has a split seat architecture that provides better style and comfort for both rider and pilion. The bike has 200cc powerful engine and the telescopic fork provides better control.

The display panel can detect failure in components.

Both front and rear wheels have tubeless tyres that are first in the motorcycle market and the wheelbase is 1350mm. The triple rate spring NitroX shockers provide cushion feel and telescopic fork suspension.

The torque of the bike has been improved by ExhausTEC technology and the bike also has an improved clutch system.

The gear can be changed easily and it is capable of taking more loads.

The presence of oil cooler enhances the engine performance.

The engine has a maximum power of 18ps and you will get an average of 40 km per liter of petrol. The fuel tank has a capacity of 15 liters and has a capacity to store 2 liters of reserve petrol.

The oil cooler improves the performance of the engine at high speeds without overheating.

Bajaj two wheelers, especially the battery, need low maintenance. Under test condition the fuel efficiency is 50kms/ltr.

is it like it adjusts the temperature to achieve the optimal viscosity for engine oil? but different oil also got different temperatures that achieve the best viscosity? i dun understand this..

"adjusts the viscosity of the lubricant oil"

is it like it adjusts the temperature to achieve the optimal viscosity for engine oil? but different oil also got different temperatures that achieve the best viscosity? i dun understand this..

What is the meaning of viscosity in the first place? ...

In everyday terms (and for fluids only), viscosity is "thickness".

Thus, water is "thin", having a lower viscosity, while honey is "thick" having a higher viscosity.

I believe we do understand the function of oil in the engine.

It is meant to lubricate the cylinder walls and other parts in the engine.

It has to work very hard and has a limited life span after which it has to be replaced.

When the oil becomes bad, it not only changes colour, it also looses its viscosity (thickness).

One of the main reasons why oil becomes bad is HEAT. In most normal vehicles, (commuter vehicles) the engine oil works within a certain temp.range and is properly cooled.

However when the vehicle has sporty intentions / pretentions, the owners love to flog them and test their various speed limitations.

Under these circumstances, the oil life would be severely reduced because of the excess heat generation due to racing / high r.p.m.

So in order to have a reasonable life / change interval for the oil (so that you don't have to run to the service station every now and then or risk ruining your engine; the manufacturers' have thoughtfully provided for an oil cooler.

This cooler is located in the wind stream where the excess heat is removed and the cooled oil is sent back to do its job.

So the engine works consistently (despite the demands) and the oil too has a normal life span.

;)
