bro I also have the same problem. after every trip on an expressway or when speeds go above 85km/h, my headlights will gradually point up. its probably due to the vibration and also the loose headlight alignment screw on the right side of the cowl.

 

but i know not all p200 have this problem, you are the 2nd one i know high-five?? rofl

 

i'm wondering if i set it in the right level and add some superglue on the screw will solve the problem. how are you solving this?

 

Hm.. it happen to me all the time.. every service i will have to bring it down.. and mine now is pointing at trees.. If u are afraid to point it at the rear mirror of cars... High beam so it point above the car.... help the car also..

I got a serious question, I live at Tampines, I was looking at how to get home...

Either go by main road all the way til Bedok then Tampines or go by highway..

 

I'm a new rider so never done running in and stuff before...

Advisable to go highway during run in period???

 

Don't want to buang a brand new bike engine because I noob rider... That would be ultimately sad

Hey again guys.

Just wondering where are you guys meeting for this month? Next Saturday right?

 

I want to get opinions from fellow Pulsarian cause I think there's something wrong with my Pulsar 180 Engine. It has a weird noise (due to piston?). Went to UM last week for normal servicing and change EO and they said it's leaking (but very little, some said might be due to gasket) and many other problems but I forgot to ask how much is it to fix it. Does it considered overhaul? Anyone overhaul before? How much most likely the cost? My bike is about 5yrs and I'm the 2nd owner, bought it in Feb this year from other shop, not UM.

 

My maximum mileage also about 360+ km. I hear from posters here can go more even though you travel more than 90km/hr with fuel about 15L. The same day I went to UM and asked about the mileage, one of the mech told me not to speed more than 90km/h to save petrol and the RPM should try to maintain below 6.5rpm. Said something about below 6.5rpm is dual spark plug while >6.5rpm is only one spark plug. Had no idea what that mean.

 

Hopefully can finally meet anyone of you people to get help for my pulsar. Really new to bikes and this Pulsar is my first bike. Plan to use it for the next few years at least so want to start taking care and fix it.

 

Edit: Ah, I realised that I'm working next Saturday and I also remembered you guys meeting at Kallang KFC. Hopefully can meet anyone else on other days. Maybe have a mini outing? Just wondering. Newbie. Ahaha.

and depending on the time of your collection. try not to collect at those peak hour if not the road filled with cars.

Check wif u guys.. my horn yesterday suddenly no sound... the last things i do is wash mybike. den when i ride on road.. a car suddenly swerve in.. thus i press horn.. to my horror.. no sound come out.. i E brake.. lucky nothing serious happen.. den i keep press my horn. nothing come out. den this morning i try it again.. it working again...

is it becoz of water inside ??

yup msot likely due to water. next time before you set off, always give your horn a quick press to check on functionality. if its not working, give it a few intermitten presses and it should work after a while. rather normal lah. try not to drown your horn when you wash your bike.

 

alternative is to change horn. im also looking to change mine but busy with work these days.

change to hella supertones! Guarantee + stamp cars will hear you coming. how they respond to it, that one is a different story......

good question, i never really considered that, i just assumed that they should be relatively weather resistant. haven't used it all that often, will try it out after my next wash.

 

was looking at the snail horns too, till read some reviews abt how the shape makes it harder to dry out and how water flicked up from the front tyres will go in if pointed down, and rain will go in if pointed forwards.

 

then again, i think the newer ones have drain holes drilled before the diaphragm to let the water out.

 

maybe i should go buy a crashbar and install those too, since i have another set of leads from my old stock horns left over. can use those to trigger another relay.
