Hi guys...im getting my shadow in 2 weeks time...im wondering which shop i should patronize to get 2 side givi boxes...and whats the price range like...one more thing...is there any shop that does chroming of the parts even the front fork..??how much wld it be to chrome the parts...thanks...

Quite a few bike shops selling Givi side boxes.. you can try LAB..alternatives you can go to Mah Motor (Singapore Givi distributor), or unique Motor.

Chroming in SG is very expensive..hehe..suggest you go JB to try your luck... I heard that chroming front fork can cost near thousand...must as well you buy a new fork..

Shadow is a very comfortable and stable bike...it attracts attention on the road cuz it is big and classic.. the only thing you need to be mentality prepared is the bike is slow and steady, not like S4, powerful and fast.. Cheers..

i was riding a Ta200 before my VersionS, when taking my 2A, i wanted a cb400 but after owning it for nearly 2mth,

i realised i dont need that 'Power' LOL thus looking back at cruiser again

 

Shadow's acceleration is it v slow? 7sec from 0-80km/h?

Hmmm...bcuz it is heavy..the pick up is slow. It's about the same as ta200 or slightly slower. But once it reach 90 n above, its very stable n smooth, unlike ta200, once reach 80 the bike vibrates alot. If slow pick up is not a problem for u, go for it. Shadow is extremely comfortable at the speed of 90 to 120km.

Hi, im in the exact same shoe as you... im riding a shadow now but im telling u, i miss my ver s... not just the power, but a super 4 is safer in terms of specs wise due to rear disc brake, dual front brake and being more agile...

Now using dunlop D404 and can say the tire grip is ok when still new but abt to botak, is a bit slippery. So was looking for alternative, so would like to see if anyone used bridgestone G701, G702 before and any comment. Thks.

Maybe is just the wires faulty, go to bikeshop to check. Also check is it ur fork seal oil leaked that cuz the wire head to spoil. Bike shop that I would recommend is rosli at autobay kaki bukit.

Tank capacity is 12L + 2L. Average fuel consumption should be around 20-22km per litre, depending on ur bike condition n other factors...

think cost ard 200plus for new one. U try take out ur display panel, just 4 allen screw to take them out. check wiring there for any loose connection or wire dislodge. Check the fuse in ur fusebox, which is behind ur right side cover. if all seems ok, think likely display panel up lorry liao.

Big bore won't let you reach 600cc if that's your intention.

Hi yanxi, shadow ace 400 n 750 looks very similar but unfortunately the engine specs are different. I don't think u r able to do modification to make it like 600cc n 750cc. Unless u change the whole engine, but it will be illegal though. Hehe.

Last time my shadow keeps giving me 18km/L/ past few top-ups, its been giving me 21-22km/L. And i didn't do anything to it!
