Yes bro... u can just replace the H4 bulb to white, but it wont be as bright as original orange bulb. Unless you use HID...

Well I'm one of those who won't recommend Rosli. Paid him a lot but never solved my bike problem. He did address some other issues but the main one remain unsolved.

don't bring shadow to Planet, as he always try not to really go through circuit but just keep as u to change parts one by one. my dad went there 7 times within 2 months spend almost $700 on Phantom TA200 but problem still there (small amount big jobs he will say "no need to change is like that one")

Actually u are right, i also pay quite alot on rosli shop with some of issues unsolved , but i'm still felt is much better that Planet. first motor......i got bad experience of keep changing battery for 3 times within 6 months( i told them is because of the rain, but the mechanic said otherwise) in the end i went other shop spend $2 for a rubber to cover wire problem solved 3 years untill now .

Thanks you all for the advises , I brought directly from an uncle not from this forum. It a 1997 model ( Green and beige color). Bike condition look OK so far having been ride only for 3 day, no problem found yet except the trip meter turn on an off and just around. I suspect could be due to the wiring or the switch selector not working. For now I just leave with it unless someone have the same experience.

 

I did not went to any bike shop as it was raining. I am planing to change engine oil and coolant so that I can start my own monitoring. Just wondering , do anyone still doing your owner\group servicing nowaday ?

Anyway, I send all my bikes to KnT at ubi. I tried rosli and amir at Tachyon motor (tampines) all didn't help much. In the end go back to Clifford. He did my VFR, steeds, super 4s and soon my DR650. Tink amir and rosli more focused on sportbikes cos I feel like my babies dont get the attention they need when im there, although there are no other customers. And yeah, they don't live up to their completion datelines too. You can try for yourself and not to take my word for it.

Almost two years ago, I sold my old Shadow ACE400 to a friend. He recently upgraded to a Shadow 750 Aero.

Last Friday morning, he called and asked me to find a buyer for the ACE.

Ubi rd 1,#01-372 blk 3006.

Ppl say he's expensive, but u decide for urself or u prefer to let those other mechs play you.. he will also recommend u change parts if necessary but there is no obligation so no worries. Maybe that's why ppl say he's expensive.

Don't end up at first motor ah.....

Maybe could be ur batt weak as got problems like that before. The meter will be on n off, the needle will suddenly dropped and come back. Bike hard to start and not much power to move forward.

or maybe the wiring connection to the batteries not tightened.

Anybody here knows whether is there any technical manual for Honda Shadow 400. I wanted to look at the engine schematics and know what parts go where. If not, I always appear lost when my mechanic talks about this and that e.g Fuel cock.

Try googling for shadow vlx manual. Bike parts are similar so don't really need to know where every bolt or screw goes. Wait more headache. Just know the basic names of parts will do. Just my 2 cents.
