Yes, possible. Many places providing seat rewrapping service. Eugene saddlery is one of the famous one.

Just got my bike sprayed, due to chipped paint on my tank. Any comment to make the bike stand out more. Black looks too dull already but what is done is done.

 

Nice bike! Yes, you can do 2 things to make your bike strike out even more:

 

1) put emblem

2) add more chromes

Quick question: How to check the level of the coolant in the radiator for shadow 400 n where to fill it?

By the reserve tank.

You can use a torch to see and dont do it when bike is still warm. Since you are at it, you can open the side neck covers to check on the condition of the pressure cap. Pressure cap is important for the proper function of the reserve tank.

Yup I heard eugene saddlery is good. Will got down one of the days. Anyone redone their seats over there and it will be nice if there is photos to share.

Btw, is there difference between Shadows? I see some are NV400c2v, some are slasher, some are Ace.

 

Quite surprise with so many different models of shadow.

shadow ACE is what most ppl riding right now,

part that mostly can match....

 

shadow 400 ACE = shadow 750 ACE (1997-2003)

slasher 400 = shadow spirit 750 (1997-2003)

honda steed 400 = Vt600 shadow (1992~2002)

Jack the shadow expert here. He knows the shadow history very well.

 

@Jfor_Jimmy1986, Japan still have some newer version of shadow 400 ace. They are equipped with HISS (Honda ignition security system), and a nice heavy duty floor plate.

Now they have new shadow model called Aero and also Shadow Phantom.

 

Newer shadow are operated with shaft and fuel injection.

A bike: Honda Shadow

B bike: Honda NV400 c2v (shadow)

 

NV400C2V = Honda Shadow 400 ACE

Shadow 400M = new version of Shadow 400 ACE (with heavy duty footplate and HISS)

 

If just only Shadow without 400M, i am not sure, but if got photo then it's easier to identify.

OneMotoring listed my shadow aCE as NV400c2v

Hi all the cruisers here,,, I have not been riding my Shadow for awhile and my shadow has rust, turn tarnish and peeling at some chrome parts. Wanting to send it for a chroming and respray.. any good place to recommend? Thanks.

Sg usually very pricey. Jb is much cheaper but quality not that good.

@Cruiserian, thanks for the effort for posting the pictures.. very beautiful. I just got a Shadow as a secondary bike and thought of doing it up. Like what Shadowzzz has mentioned, the chromes are peeling off and some of the screws are rusty.

I'm meeting Soon Heng this weekend to see how much is their quote and their work.

The boss said he has restored many old bikes.. will see how good they are.
