Hi All,

 

Last thursday during our biker BS, we studied John chapter 5. I like to share a lesson I learnt from Him to glorify His name.

 

The basis for modern day miracle healing

In John 5:1 to 8, a lame person lying next to a pool called Bethzatha for 38 years, believed whoever first stepped into the pool stirred by an "angel" will be healed of his infirmities. But because he was lame, he always missed the chance. Someone keeps getting ahead of him no matter how hard he tried. After waiting for 38 years by the pool, he had tried very hard with his own effort but failed , by now he has given up hope on a miracle.

 

Suddenly Jesus saw him & asked him ," Do you want to be healed?". Now Jesus knows & understand this man's pain & suffering without being told. Just as He also understand our pains & sufferings. The lame man replied that he tried his best, but was incapable. Then Jesus perform the miracle on him, command him to get up & walk.

 

If the lame man dis-believe in Jesus & refuse to make a proactive attempt or effort to get up & walk; will a miracle happens to this man? Remember how Peter tried to walk on water in Mathew 14 , but because his faith waivered, he starts to sink. This means no miracle will happen to the lame man, if he refused to believe & take a step.

 

Now the same Jesus is living inside our heart. He is still the same - loving, forgiving, full of humility , yet He is the King of kings, Lord of lords. Just as he made the first move to the lame man, He is always asking us lovingly inside our hearts, do you want to be healed of your financial problem/ addictions/ incurable sickness / work problem / relationship problem? He knows our pain better than anyone, He loves us & wants to heal us now. All we have to do is say to Him, "I want it, I believe in You. And if there is any disbelief in me, please Lord Jesus , help me to overcome it. Thank you Jesus."

 

Just as Jesus wants to heal any sick person that comes across His path during His time 2000 years ago; He is standing inside us now , staring at our pain & asking us this question - do you want to be healed?

 

That is the basis for modern day miracle healing ministry.

 

Let's praise the mighty name of Jesus again.
