WHY CALL IT BIBLE STUDY; if the teaching of the bible is masked of its importance? CHANGE TO FELLOWSHIP!!!

 

Bringing a non believer (Please restraint from calling them pre-believer cause bottomline, God had decided who He want to save, we are merely only his humble instruments) may be confusing to him/her at such a gathering. But if a time comes, he/she believes due to our out-reach; found out the truth(Bible teaching) later- we become deceiver that cos him/her to stray!!!! :angry:

i think you are over-reacting to what i'm saying. i'm only pointing out tht a pre-believer's salvation is more impt than letting him/her to know abt the history, definition etc....

 

the basis of Christianity is our salvation, without it, there's no relationship with God at all and that will defeat the purpose of knowing the rest as there wasn't any base at all.

 

i understand your concern abt bringing the whole picture out and also telling the truth but isn't the whole truth/Gospel abt John 3:16?

 

i believe that wat i've said has no form of iniquity at all, if it has, then i'm sure a lot of pple in churches have been "cheated" or have been an instrument of iniquity as they've accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour because of what He has done on the cross for us and not because they know how the denominations came about.

 

and I wld appreciate it if you cld use less of the big, bold wordings and signs as i believe it doesn't really help much in a conversation esp over the internet.

I think fellowship is better. Fellowship means we can go places for fellowship instead of bounded in gillman. Fellowship can hv evangelical theme meetings occasionally instead of BS, with invited speakers. We can also hold outdoor fellowship near the beach by riding there together with invited non-christians etc.

 

I have always prayed that we can make use of the bikes , talents & resources He given us to expand His kingdom diligently & let Him take cares of our needs & family.

I went back to think about the discussion on the name and objective of the group. Then it occur to me that we didn't even come to the Lord and ask Him what His objective is for us. Afterall He is the Boss.

What should a christian do in times of worldwide financial crisis? Banks are busting, stock markets is going down & not bottom yet. Secondary effect on companies' liquidity & cash flow is coming fast & furious. Some Internet Churches report 100 folds jumps in viewship to their website. Many backslided & lukewarm christians are streaming back to Him for protection against any collateral damage & spillover from the financial calamity.

 

Yes, only our God can shield us under His wings from all the calamity. Only He can saves us & who ever asked Him for a bread will not be given a stone.

 

What i proposed we should do during the crisis is to lean harder upon Him. No more lukewarmness, no more backsliding, but seek first His righteousness & reach out for lost souls (Mathew 6:33-34, Mark 16:15-18) .

 

As we seek first His kingdom diligently, ask & believe that He'll take care of our financial & daily needs & our love ones.

 

You can do this by telling yr colleagues, friends, relatives about Jesus. Or you can serve in your church by volunteering your talents (Mathews 25:14-30 Parables of the Talents). Maybe by now your friends & relatives hearts hv soften, they realised we humans need a great & almighty God to lean upon at times of crisis. Or you can visit the JB Orphanage & tell the parentless children, Jesus loves them very much.

 

Also, read the Words of God (Holy Bible) daily, ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate your hearts to see the awesome light & truth within. Attend your church 's BS or Cell group where ever possible.

 

Be diligent to seek fellowship amongst fellow christians, encouraging, edifying & exhorting each other's faith in Jesus's most precious name. This will allow our faith to grow larger than a mustard seed in order to move mountains of despair.
