Anyway, he told me today that previously my gasket was very thin, which resulted in the high power, but would decrease its reliability. Now he's tuned it for me so that my power is spread somewhat evenly between the revs. Also, he put in a thicker gasket which is supposedly better for engine life. And the scratches in my block are very minor. Apparently they can be polished out and Ah Seng said that it's a minor thing but I won't need to bother about it for now. Jincon also mentioned that he was there when they were testing the compression rating in my engine...it was something like 140 while his, which is a brand new engine is 125.

 

Oh well, if that's the case then I don't mind the decrease in power...Hope to bring it to track one day still =D

maybe he's trying to mean that the 2T is not that pure.. got some imparticles which are not easily being burnt, causing too much unburnt 2T if u never rev it. did u use rock oil before?? before u use this unil-opal, does this thing also happen?? have to find the source of problem, whether it is because of the 2T u use or the setting of the 2T.

 

oh.. no wonder.. different bike have different setting, even the same bike model will have different feeling when u try others bike, a different of a few mm in the head gasket can mean alot to the compression and the overall performance of the bike.

 

So did u send ur block for polishing???

Haha I don't know exactly what he was trying to say... But I'll definitely try out Rockoil. What I was told when I bought my 2t is that a lot of brands say fully synthetic but it may not be 100% fully synthetic in terms of chemical composition. And considering the area of the world where this brand originated from, what appears on the is taken very seriously by the governments/governing bodies and they can be court if found to be providing misleading/inaccurate information. Unfortunately, I have no means to check how good the quality of the 2t really is heh.

 

I don't mind the slightly higher compression, but I hope it won't significantly affect my engine life. Anyway, the block hasn't been polished cause Ah Seng said it wasn't necessary.. Don't know if he just didn't want to do it or if I really don't need it cause I don't see the logic in letting my components run with certain malevolent stresses. Now there's also a kind of ringing sound when some gears run at 6000 rpm. Only at that point...slightly after that and it's ok. Below that it's ok as well.

Ehhh don't worry man. You helped me so much with my bike also.

 

Damn tired out man but shiok. What a waste I didn't get to polish my bike =/ lol. Must go buy all the accessories to clean bike already.

 

Sols' house there the indian guard is anal man. Lol I agree with Lucky. If that guy spoke to me like that I will screw him also. Haha.

then u have to see if the 2t got say whether it has approval from companies anot, like JASO still got alot.. forget already what i feel is that most of the time u heard from ppl "waa.. that 2t really good, must go buy and try" but sometimes that 2t only suits some types of bikes not all, coz all the bikes are using different engine system and design to operate, so try to stick to one which doesn't give u much problem as its also quite bad for the engine to always mix 2T as different brand has different chemicals in them and u don't know what chemical reaction wil happen when u mix them together. thus giving u different performance level..

 

hope u can find the 2T which really suits ur bike...

 

maybe that block of urs really don't need to polish, so he don't want u to waste that money bah or u didn't have enough budget or time to polish the bike... can only guess, coz don't know what is actually happening...

 

hmmm.. first check whether got anything loose anot.. last time i also got like that then in the end found out that my the bracket to my IU is loosen, causing a sound which caused me to search and search where the hell that sound come from..

coz the most vibration comes at roughly that time.. that's for me lah...

 

best i feel is check from outside to inside coz outside is visible to the eyes, so easier to find.. but if really is engine, then when u rev it when its stationary. the sound should still be there if its really from the engine..

 

best is get some experience pppl to help u listen where the sound actually comes from

I ride a planet and want to ask newbie question in this thread since it is more active and mito and planet share the same engine.

 

how do you check the transmission oil level? The dip stick when I take out has only 1 notch near the bottom end of it, about 1 cm from the bottom end. must the oil level stay below this notch? Or the oil level must be above this notch?

Ho ho ho i'm back, damn comp died on me and this temporary replacement is so slow it's pissing me off. Anyways yeah depending on the time i'll pop down to the meetup on the 13th (working till 4:30pm on that day). His bike is like in brand new condition. Anyway, told him about our outing and our webby. He said he'll try his best to make it down.....then...later ...I realised I forgot to ask for his number! =/. But nevermind, he owns a pool place near Selegie....it's called Poolitics.. Anyone heard of it before?
