now is the starter got problem liao.... the battery still hab life.. coz i still can switch on the light....

i press the starter button... the bike refused to startup lor... so i also duno how lor... except gotta run test lor... it is really a very gd trainin for 2.4 man !

 

then my bike here is in the garage liao lor... later i go down pass the key to them.... ask them fix for me.....

 

haiz... i think har.... really need alot of patience time n $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ .............

 

i will try my best to carry on !

To check whether your battery really does have anything left in it to be useful enough, (you can also turn on the lights at the same time), crank the ignition and see if the starter motor is moving at all or not in the first place.

 

And AT the same time when you press the ignition (don't let go), press the horn and notice if the sound is loud or faint. If loud, that means battery got life. If faint or no sound at all, it's dead, and hopefully it's only flat battery and not a spoilt starter motor.

Changing fork seal/oil, BIKE SPECIALIST charged me a mere $90!! (But he set it too soft lah, still haven't got time to ask him can adjust or not.. If CANNOT adjust though, that means he did something wrong, I'm recommending him on the assumption that he did it all good and that the hardness can be adjusted.)

Other places? About $140-$170.

 

Urr... decarbonize your exhaust is $60 -> he'll cut open your manifold and endcan, clear the carbon, weld it back and there you go.

 

Wash carburettor is... alamak I forgot, was it like $30? I know this may be a little high, but I definitely would give my business to him because he's very friendly and humble.

 

Ah f*ck I forgot a lot lah, I wrote a lot of it down, I'll update you guys again.

 

BTW, I got a lobang for new set of AFAM Aluminium Rear Sprox (43T, purple colour), normal front sprox (16T) and Vox O-Ring chain, all at $125. Last set left. (Includes installation.) This is exactly what I'm using now.

1)Spark plug, battery, NGK or Denso

2)gearbox oil, engine oil Motul

3)clean air & oil filter,

4)Bigger carb,

5)clean exhaust,

6)(where to find power valve, steering cone bearing, steering head bearings),

7)clean & polish block, head & piston

8)change brake pads, brake fluid

9)run thru all bolts and nuts and thighten,

10)clean wheel hub bearings

11)change fork oil,

12)change sprockets and chain~

13)change my starter motor and coil,

14)replace spoilt gauges

15)replace all cables

16)maybe tyres~

17)maybe clutch plates

18)maybe light bulbs

 

Roughly altogether how much?

Wah lau eh brudder, you too much money lah, can buy bike, insurance, transfer fee and just let it all go in just a few days..

 

We all know that we're all mature enough to be able to make our own decisions, and we also know that it is never wrong to listen to our parents sometimes, so I'm not gonna try persuade you against your parent's pressuring.

 

I guess all of us has been through this parents thingy before, I'm still trying to prove to my parents that it's resonably safe for me to ride a bike, by not meeting any accidents EVER. (It's been 8 months..)

 

Make sure you think through and try all possible avenues before you settle on this decision man, good luck until then!
