MY DIARY

Today's my 1st day with a speedo (oso with zero error) which starts frm ard -10

 

scene 1..

after installing frm excel.. i went to 1st motor.. normal riding using 4/5/6 gears.. wah... 60 on the speedo.. means im travelling at ard 70.. which is normal on normal road.. see.. im a safe rider

 

scene 2..

after 1st motor.. whack it out with my frn.. managed to clock onli 80 on the speedo.. road too short.. =(

 

scene 3..

tampines pie flyover.. 1 of my fav.. along the way theres lotsa car.. whack till im the 1st 1.. at ard 100.. close throttle n kup.. once the bike goes down.. i whack the throttle again.. the speedo goes till 110 halfway.. managed to check once onli.. scared 2 fall..

 

scene 4..

doing my normal riding in the expressway.. 4got evything abt the new speedo cable.. still the fastest on the road.. suddenly i recall abt the speedo.. check it.. i was at 130.. close throttle n back 2 lane.. realize wat speed im going now..

 

scene 5..

juz b4 i reach my place.. theres a gradual bend right.. i always practice on my way home.. theres stripe b4 so i gotta slow down alot.. dropped gear n whack thru the corner.. having onli 1 glance again.. 100 on the speedo..

 

final conclusion..

im damn lucky 2 hav escape frm tp(s) for the 1/2 yr.. now with my speedo cable on.. will try my best to maintain at max 100 in expressway.. (thou its kinda hard ) n oso realize that im kinda crazy over corners..

i believe if u were to corner n bua shoe.. u gotta remove the damn speedo cable.. thats how i train n practice.. in such a way.. u will not limit urself.. u will b telling urself evyday that.. 'oh this bend' i can do faster den yesterday..

haha i everyday tell myself to go slower but how come everytime i coem back from hougang my timing faster and faster le??? ten mins from heartland mall to tampines... err.. but i think i nv speedin le... coz the car i overtake like also not very fast loh...

 

but then wat u said was true la... the most fun bout a bike not in topend speed but when u go the corner then u try to throttle more than u lean more.. evry nice feeling feel like lie huo zhan che haha

I told you all before already mah, buy FM Mito, wah lan duey, confirm gonna have heart-pain for the first few weeks or months, if you not careful!

 

You buy an FM Mito, gotta have COMMITMENT!! It's like an antique bike ready to be scrapped, so it's YOUR job to restore it to its former glory!! Depends on your passion for bikes (esp. the Mito) though, but we here at SBF are always here to help and encourage as best as we can!

 

StingRhea: It's at one place, you go to MAYO STREET (opposite SIM LIM TOWER or DUNLOP STREET where MOTORX OR BIKE TECH is), look for this one little shack of a shop (no sign, shop look like sh*t hehe) the shop name is BIKE SPECIALIST. Got a lot of scramblers there. Look for JIMMY and say KAI (blue Mito) reccomend you go there! He confem know me one lah, and will give you great service! Very friendly fella! You want, when you get your bike, we can go together one day.

Now that you've mentioned it, yah, when I was pushing the bike and starting to get really really pissed off (and I mean REALLY pissed off), I started to think, haiyah, not so bad mah, this is good exercise. Really! That's how I kept my cool and did what I did.

Actually, I got my own theory on this, but I don't think I should discuss this on this board.

True true true... You can concentrate more on the feel rather than on the numbers.. Maybe next time, I only see the speedo on the exit of the corner..

Anyway I just finished sanding the major parts of my fairing (wah lan duey, this is definitely taking more effort than I had hoped!!!), cannot wait to finish sanding everything down and to spraying...!!
