haiz... any peeps noe how much to overhaul engine? one of my friends had commented dat there's a knocking sound from my engine when it's idling... and she said it's pretty loud...

she adviced me to overhaul it be4 some expensive damages came up... anyone?

knocking sound. might be conrod lose lohz. dun cause much problem actually ur friend mechanic>?i will suggest u to let seng hear the sound and see for u.

oh and she said the knocking sound might due to some parts to the connecting rod dats worn out, and so causing it to knock against the engine....

actually the sound been there since the 1st day i got my bike... and i muz agree it did sound abit louder then be4 lor...

haiz juz clear meter & had a trip to kulai few days ago... and the weeks before... hopefully it's not wearing out anything in the engine.... haiz.

Cant afford it.. Dont ride it...

 

Since you know that the problem is there from day 1, why not get it checked out? And knowing you had a problem, you still went to clear meter? Wonderful..

 

 

I had a conrod problem when i got my bike too.. Brought it to Seng, who told me frankly that it can last only afew more months and he advised not to whack until i'm ready for overhaul.. Had another friend with the same problem.. But he go whack the bike.. less than a month his condition accelerated to become so bad.. piston jam somemore..

 

Morale of story? Problem, get it checked it out... dont delay and harm your bike..

well bro u're pretty blunt in ur comments but it's the truth anyway.

and i did took my bike for servicing and checked out my carb, exhaust valve, exhaust system & even the piston compression at 1st motor... bout few weeks earlier i met u dat time at fm.

and took my bike for a servicing of my engine at racewerks which include taking apart & cleaning it, changed gaskets & coolant, and of course checking the condition of the components. i was assured dat even the piston had no early signs of overheating or seizure. even when i cleared meter, i hold the throttle not even 100% open & clutch in to blip every once in a while. and 145km/h dats it. the rpm wun raise anymore even i open more.

i spared no expense to maintain my bike, though i had a craving for undertail lightings haha!

water pump seal got a tendency of wearing off, coolant mix with oil in the gearbox = trouble + $$$ =

 

my block here got 2 planets too..

 

washed my carb last week, tomolo going to change my clutch plates, clean silencer and exhaust valve meself~
